Actually I heard that Mother was made a regular the request of the
American studios. If you look at the production order, the Tara Kings
which did not have Mother (usually the better ones) were made before
the ones with Mother, even though they weren't shown in that order.

I have to confess that I've only watched 1 or 2 of the Tara episodes...just because I couldnt' stand Mother... although I did quite like the All Done With...
