The place where Portland,OR/Vancouver,WA area Browncoats (fans of Joss Whedon's Firefly tv show and Serenity movie) meet, chat, plan shindigs, and celebrate the BDM.

By all accounts, Portland's Can't Stop The Serenity 2007 Benefit was even more successful than last year's. The final results are still being tallied, but preliminary numbers show that Portland's local effort raised more than $14,000 for Equality Now, and over $1000 for the Women's Film Initiative. The Grizwald, the award for the city raising the most money for Equality Now, will continue to reside in Portland for a second year! Globally, the total Browncoats have raised for Equality Now exceeds $114K! Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, volunteered, and participated in making 2007's benefit a monumental success!
