Hi, newbie here, but we'll deal with that later. In an RPG you choose
a character and play him/her/it, like you were an actor.

Hope to have been of help

I'm not aware of any fansites that are still being updated other
than TKTV. And this is pretty much the most active Message Board
related to Po5 that I know of. I hope others will chime in if they
know something further.

Today, I visited TKTV site of Po5 and checked some links to other
fan sites, but they are all unavailable. Does anyone know if there
are fan sites still being updated, besides TKTV. I think that, with
the release of pof seasons on DVD, people will get more interested
in the show. Besides, I´d be glad if I could find out what the cast
is doing nowadays.

I just added a folder in our Photos section called "2004 Cast

Oh yeah....the original Griffin was James Marsden.....YUMMM!! He's
been in a lot of movies, including the X-Men series. I am a big
Jeremy London fan, but I think I wouldn't have minded if James
Marsden continued the Griffin character. =)

You know what...they can all pass as brothers and sisters. The Po5
casting director did a great job. They all have
similarities...especially Julia and Claudia.

You two are SO right about that scene with Bailey and Charlie. It's
definintely one of the stand-out moments of the series. Can you
BELIEVE how much Bailey and Charlie LOOK AND ACT like brothers in
that scene? It's hard to believe they're acting. It feels more
like we are looking over our fence and seeing the family next door.

I haven't got to that episode yet on the DVDs, but I remember it
pretty well. That's also the OLD Griffin, right? The first one?
What did you guys think of the actor? I'm pretty sure we all prefer
Jeremy London, but he didn't do a bad job. I remember later he got
a recurring part on Ally McBeal.

That was one of my favorite episodes! I loved the part when Julia
told Justin about his eyes....I loved the part when Julia gave the
jacket to Griffin...and of course Bailey crying...awwwww!!! I wasn't
a Jill fan myself, but I thought that episode was perfectly directed

My favorite lines:
Griffin: "I want to see her again, so I can yell at her! Don't you?"
Bailey: "Sometimes. Sometimes I just want to see her so I can hold
her one more time."

Okay....something like that..it was very touching! =)

Oh yeah....when Julia and Bailey were at the swing was
precious..that's a good one. I also really liked that time when
Charlie needed their help sanding that bed. I thought that was a real
sweet moment and it made me laugh when they started singing Stop in
the Name of Love!!

Um...no, I actually didn't sleep...well, I did for about two or three
hours. I remember that I bought the DVD on Friday and started
watching it that night...finished it too. I watched it again Saturday
night...and then Sunday morning. I know...I was an idiot..my sister
actually called me that coz' I didn't even leave the house that
weekend! I did regret it though...coming to work tired as hell the
following week. =)

Hey, Tes:

Which part did I cry on? Which part DIDN'T I cry on! 8) Kidding.
Actually, one of the first episodes I remember is the Pilot. I
remember being very touched by the scene in which Baily and Julia
sit on the swings and talk about their parents. Julia was just
dumped by PK, and Bailey told her that their father told him
something that made him feel better when he was heartbroken... but
he couldn't remember what he said.

And OMG -- you seriously watched Season 1 THREE TIMES in 3 days???
How is that possible? Didn't you sleep?!? 8)

I started watching it from the begining on Fox. At first I was
watching it simply for Bailey...but as the episodes went on, I
started to just fall in love with the whole Salinger family. My
favorite from the first season was the one when they each confronted
the drunk driver that killed their parents. When I bought the DVD I
watched all of the CDs three times in three days. I love
it...brought back memories!

I can't say much about the fifth and sixth season coz' I pretty much
tuned out at that point. But that doesn't take away the fact that
I'm dying to see the sixth season..=)

I can honestly say that my favorite was Julia. I know she was a brat
half of the time, but I related to her the most. I'm talking about
season 1-4...I don't know how she was during 5-6 seasons. I was a
bit of the bratty teenager myself. Didn't want to listen to
rules...thought I knew everything. Plus writing has always been my
passion...so it's Julia!!

Which episode did you cry on? I cried during the Thanksgiving
episode. The part when Charlie visited the drunk driver. That was a
tearjerker.

Andrea, I wouldn't say Season 5/6 were 'derogatory" toward women.
The only reason I can think of that people would say that is because
in those season the show dealt with physical abuse and attempted
rape. (Again, examples of how the show became "over the top" in the
last couple years.) The subtle, intricate plots that we got used to
and loved in Seasons 1 through 4 were abandoned for a more "Melrose
Place"-like feel in Seasons 5/6. But they still aren't "bad"
compared to most shows on TV today... especially the reality shows.

I became a fan at the end of the fourth season. I actually didn't
watch the show on Fox, but caught it on Lifetime and became hooked.
Then I started watching the new shows on Fox starting with Season
5.

I have now seen every episode of every season, and love them all. I
do agree with most that season 5 and season 6 are the weakest as far
as writing and acting, but compared to other shows they're still not
bad.

I think what really hooked me was that I was incredibly touched by
this "family" immediately. I think I cried during the first episode
I ever saw, which is strange. They just seemed so real and the
plots were very much like real life. They didn't have to go over
the top to entertain (until season 5 and 6, that is). 8)

Have you watched all of the first season on DVD yet? Who's your
favorite character (besides Justin)? Mine's always been Charlie. I
related to that guy.

Ok, I know this will sound stupid, but I only remember certain things
about seasons 5 and six. But from what I have read people have said,
they said something about the season being awful and very derogatory
towards women. I don't remember them being 'that' bad. I remember
season 4 (which is the first one I saw because I was so young when it
first came on in '94), was the best IMO. But can someone fill me in on
how 5 & 6 were derogatory towards women?

You've probably already seen all the episodes in Season 2, right?
If not, you're going to LOVE them because "Justin" is a very
prominent character.

Goorjin wasn't in Season 6 a lot, was he? I remember him coming
back at the end, and all that stuff about him marrying someone from
school, then divorcing and getting together with Julia and going to
Washington DC. But wasn't he absent from most of Season 6?

I know occasionally someone on eBay sells the entire run of Party of
Five on VHS, but now that the seasons are slowly being released on
DVD that may not happen anymore. If Columbia/Tristar keeps to their
schedule, season 4 should be out around Christmas of 2005.

I am a huge Party of Five fan. Michael Goorjin being in it is just an
added bonus..=). He's a great actor and I think he works very well
with Neve Campbell. I bought the first season and I am buying season
two in November!! =)

Tes, if you can wait, I'm sure Season 6 will be released on DVD.
But it will probably be about 3 years from now.

Are you just a Michael Goorjin fan, or do you like Po5 in general?

Hello everyone!!

I was wondering if there's any way I can get a hold of some, if not
all, of the episodes from season six. Preferbly the last three or any
with Michael Goorjin. I know that I used to tape the episode, but I
pretty much stopped watching after season four....I know, I'm a
loser!! I'm just hoping that there are some who still taped the show
during that final season. I am willing to PAY.....please help!!!
Thank you!!!

Rodrigo, I'm glad you joined the group! I'll catch you up on what I
know about the cast and what they're doing currently.

Matthew Fox: Actually, "Haunted" was cancelled last year after about
7 episodes. He's going to be on an ABC drama this fall
called "Lost."

Scott Wolf: Scott starred and directed (or produced, can't remember)
an ABC-Family movie called "Picking Up And Dropping Off." It aired
around Christmas time. Don't know what he's been doing since.

Neve Campbell: Yep, she starring in "The Company," and I think she's
going to join the Broadway cast of "Chicago."

Lacey Chabert: She's in "Mean Girls," in theaters now in the US.

Jennifer Love Hewitt: She filmed pilot for ABC in which she stars as
a sports telecaster. It's a comedy and it's gotten pretty bad
reviews from insiders. She's also going to hit the big screen soon
in a computer-animated "Garfield" movie.

That's about it for now.

Did you have to buy a US DVD-player in order to play the episodes?

Hello everyone

I just joined this group and I´m very glad columbia is finally
releasing party of five on DVD. I´ve been a fan of the show for
years and I really miss party of five. I think it was one of the
best TV shows ever!

I live in Brazil and columbia is not realeasing the DVD set here. As
a true fan of the show, I pre ordered season one from US and got it
last week. I´ve watched the first disc so far and I really don´t
wanna rush things, because november is too far.

I did not watch the bonus features yet. Anyway, does anyone know
what the cast members are doing nowadays?

I know Neve was on a movie called "the company" (still have to
watch). Matthew is on a show called "haunted". I have no idea of
Scott Wolf, Paula Devicq and Lacey Chabert are doing. Any clue?

in particular with Walter Alcott (John Rubenstien) were so
touching! That's definitely one of the high points of the Party of
Five run.

Charlie was always my favorite character on the show. I'm a guy, so
the "hotness" factor didn't come into play for me. 8) But I
thought -- especially in season one -- he was such a multi-
dimensional character. The writers of Po5 REALLY lost touch with
this multi-dimensional aspect of Charlie in season 5 and 6. He
pretty much just became the "dad" then. But there was such an
intenseness to everything about him in the early years... anger at
having to take care of the kids but great moments of satisfaction
within that anger; love for Kirsten but tendencies to still want to
pull away from anything that felt too commited; obligations to work
at Salingers' even though he had his own dream for himself.

I can't believe Matthew Fox hasn't been more of a success after
Po5. That's no knock on Fox -- it's a knock on Hollywood.
