John Corbett and Nia Vardalos are together again. After their box office
success in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, they're searching for love in I Hate
Valentine's Day, which Vardalos also directed.

Corbett was doing just fine on Showtime's hit The United States of Tara, but
he couldn't wait to rejoin Nia in a romantic comedy. And Parade.com's Jeanne
Wolf discovered that Corbett had no trouble locking lips with his co-star
once again.

The tough part was their first smooch.
"When we were making My Big Fat Greek Wedding, before our first kissing
scene, I went to Nia's trailer and knocked on her door and said, 'Are you
nervous about this kiss?' She said, 'Yeah, kind of.' So I went, 'We should
just do it now and get it out of the way so we're not doing it for the first
time in front of the crew.' So I went into her trailer and we gave each
other a big movie kiss. And then we looked at each other and said, 'Are you
good?' And we were."

The second time around.
"All through the first week of shooting I Hate Valentine's Day, Nia was
like, 'I'm going to kiss you again.' We were laughing and then came the big
scene. Nia yelled, 'Action' and we had that moment like, 'Oh no. I'm going
to kiss my friend. This is awkward.' But it was better than the first one."

Struggling to be romantic.
"I am a lot like this guy I play, believe it or not. I just don't know what
to do besides open a car door for a girl, usually after the car is stopped
is better, or buy her a box of chocolates. I'm not the suave Tom Selleck
that people might think that I am. I'm that 13-year-old boy who has a crush
on a girl. I can speak for the guys, and most of us do have a fear of
commitment. And some of us get wrangled in."

The most romantic thing he's ever done.
"It took a lot of planning but I baked a dozen heart-shaped cupcakes with
little tender sweet words on them. The words were all in chocolate."

Talk about a moment to remember.
"I think every female I've been with is a happy accident. I met a woman
coming out of the lavatory on an airplane at 31,000 feet. We ended up having
a two or three year romance. You can't plan those things."

Hey, if his lady love ever has a bad hair day.
"I had a girlfriend who was a hairdresser and she really seemed to enjoy it.
So I thought, 'Why not?' I went to cosmetology school, which wasn't so bad
because I ended up working mostly on little old Jewish ladies who were just
happy that they were getting a good price. But when I started working in
salons I hated it. I probably would have been better off as a waiter because
when you're a hairdresser you also have to be a psychotherapist. Everybody
wants to tell you their problems. Fortunately, my career took off and I was
able to quit."

What he won't do for a part.
"I won't be naked on TV or in a movie because my mom still watches
everything I do. I turned them down when they wanted me to do nude scenes on
Sex and the City. I said, 'My mom will be watching. I can't do it.' But as
long as I'm not naked, I don't care who else she sees who's naked."

What keeps him going.
"I guess some people might call me lazy. But I own my own house, I don't
have any kids. I can make decisions other people might not have the freedom
to make. It's a good life. Life is funny. That phone rings and you never
know who's on the other end of it. That's what I like about this business is
every day when that phone rings, it can be a phone call that changes your
life and it's happened to me several times."
