I have the blue and the grey on tape too. I like that one too!! I heard the Alamo was a lousey movie, but I have not seen it yet. I have also heard that you need to know all the history surrounding the Alamo, or you won't understand it. I'm not very familiar with it, so not sure if I'll get it. But will probably rent it sometime.
I was also shocked to see it so cheap. I thought we would pay that for each book. I bought it right away from Amazon.ca for $55 Cdn which is like $45US (free shipping). This was my favorite mini-series and maybe movie of all time (although it would be hard to pick a favorite as I also love Star Wars Trilogy, Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark and Aliens. Is anyone going to get the Alamo. I hear that is to be released on Tuesday and it looks good. Has anyone seen it? Another excellent civil war mini-series is the Blue and the Grey.
