I couldnt agree more it would havae been a great scene,I dont know what I am going to do when it goes on hiadus for a month or two, I think it comes back in may, that is too long to wait.veronica mars rocks!!!!!
When Dick calls Logan about wanting a divorce/annullment/whatever and asks if he knows a good lawyer and Logan answers "Well, I know *A* lawyer", they just *had* to show him talking to Cliff somehow, at least on the phone or something - first, because you *know* Logan was talking about him, then because OMG, I *need* a scene with Cliff and Dick discussing the dude's marital problems. Please. I won't ask for anything else in the whole world!
(Well, I won't ask for anything else from Rob...'cos I'm still waiting for a renewal, Ms. Ostroff!!!)

From "Ask Ausiello":
Question: Umm... why can't I find anything to tell me when Veronica
Mars is coming back?
Ausiello: Probably because you haven't been reading Ask Ausiello. It
returns next Tuesday, and here's a major scoopbit straight from Mars'
creator Rob Thomas: "Paul Rudd has agreed to play a big role in
Episode 17. He'll play past-his-prime English rock star Desmond
Fellowes, who is touring American college campuses. Piz, as part of
his radio-station duties, will be his host. It'll play as sort of a My
Favorite Year-style story. Naturally, this being Veronica Mars,
Desmond's suitcase containing many essential items will go missing.
Piz will ask Veronica for help." Also, Rob teases that "despite his
on-screen death, Ed Begley will reappear during the
Who-Killed-Dean-O'Dell mystery."

"Majorino feeling the love"
Sassy style brings her a platter of enviable roles
Sarah Kuhn / Back Stage West
T ina Majorino has been back in the acting game for only a couple of
years, but she's already managed to nab a trifecta of roles that
inspire rabid, drooling fandom.
The first thing to catch our attention was her winning turn as nerdy
Glamour Shots photographer Deb in 2004's cult classic "Napoleon
Dynamite." As spazzy Napoleon's soft-spoken dream girl, Majorino
injected the film with gentle soul while simultaneously rocking an
antennalike side ponytail.
We were even more thrilled when she popped up in a recurring role as
Cindy "Mac" Mackenzie, computer-geek sidekick to Kristen Bell's
acerbic teen detective on "Veronica Mars"; Majorino's presence made
one of our favorite shows even cooler.
Mac has emerged as a major fan favorite on the show, and with good
reason: There's an endearing vulnerability to Majorino's performance
that brings out the character's humanity in a way we can't help but
relate to.
And finally, we adore her appearances on HBO's "Big Love," in which
she plays outspoken young Mormon Heather Tuttle. In a show that boasts
an abundance of complex characters, Majorino, 21, still manages to be
a standout; her scenes opposite Amanda Seyfried, who plays a member of
the series' polygamist family, have crackled with chemistry and
true-blue teen angst.
All three of these characters are outsiders, in a way, but Majorino
never plays them with a wink. She's always able to locate the heart of
a scene -- whether it's Mac encountering her birth mother or Deb
batting the tetherball around with Napoleon -- and convey it in a way
that feels unquestionably genuine. Awkwardness, yearning and
heartbreak have all crossed her beautifully expressive eyes in the
subtlest of ways, telling us everything we need to know.
"Big Love," "Veronica Mars" and "Napoleon Dynamite" all have fiercely
devoted fan bases, and Majorino enjoys hearing from them. One of her
favorite "Big Love" comments came via a fan who hails from Utah, where
the show is set. "She said that she was surprised that somebody from
L.A. could so truthfully portray somebody from a small town in Utah,"
remembers Majorino. "That was probably one of the biggest compliments
I've ever gotten from anyone."
The actor, who has lived in Los Angeles her whole life, started
singing and dancing when she was about 2, then progressed into
commercials, TV and film. Even when she was a child star, her
performances showed remarkable perception and precision; there's a
luminous realism to her work in films such as "Corrina, Corrina";
"When a Man Loves a Woman"; and yes, even that soggy epic,
"Waterworld" that actors twice her age would kill for. Still, Majorino
says achieving success at such a young age didn't affect her that
much. "My parents were really good about keeping me grounded and
making sure I had a life outside of working," she says. "Nobody in my
family acts or is involved in the business at all, so it makes it a
lot easier when you come home and nobody really talks about it."
Majorino's last project as a child actor was 1999's TV-movie version
of "Alice in Wonderland," in which she played the title role; after
that, she quit the biz for a while. "I was really tired, and I wanted
to spend time with my family and my friends, and go to school," she
recalls. "And I had kind of lost my passion for it. I'm the type of
person that, if I'm not into it 100 percent, then I kind of don't want
to be involved in it."

OK, first of all, I don't remember in which group we made a quick
comment on how we didn't quite get the whole point of the bomb threat
Sacks didn't want that other officer to wake Lamb up for, so I'm
sorry if it wasn't here. I'm just reading the TWoP recap right now
and here's what the Couch Baron wrote on that, which makes a whole
lotta sense:
"Sheriff's station. A deputy tells Sacks they just got a bomb threat
at one of the residential halls at Hearst, but Sacks says that
happens all the time around finals, and that they should just let the
Hearst police handle it. The deputy wonders if maybe he should check
with Lamb. Sacks: "You want to call and wake him up?" Aw, Lamb's
tucked in already? I wish we could see that -- he probably has the
cutest little PJs!
By the way, we're meant to infer here that Veronica called in the
bomb scare in an effort to get the law there. Which is fine, but I
don't think it should have been her only action here. I mean, we know
that there were Hearst police at the party -- are they so incompetent
that it wouldn't have been worth getting them involved? And I know
Logan and Wallace left the party on that false errand, but what about
Piz and Mac? If Veronica couldn't find them, she couldn't have called
them on the way? You'd think that after last year's season finale,
Mac would be especially attentive to her phone. But I have to admit
that at least this "Veronica is reckless" theme has been well-
developed. I may not like it, but it's reasonably consistent."

Exclusive! Veronica Mars Creator Reveals New Plan, Answers You!
By Kristin Veitch Today at 12:40 am
It should be criminal to make an hour of television like last night's
Veronica Mars. Seriously, someone, please, arrest VM boss Rob Thomas
and throw away the key. Why? I'll tell you why. 'Cause it was so
fanfreakingtastic it makes every other show on TV look like it was
put together by glue-sniffing monkeys! Can I get an amen, my
Veronica-lovin' brethren?! (I thought I could!) Not only was last
night's episode thoroughly rocking in every way, but the ratings
reflected it, scoring 3.5 million viewers—the biggest audience ever in
the CW's coveted 18-34 demo. Yeeeeeay! To celebrate, I just spent a
little time chatting with Rob himself. (Yes, miraculously, he has not
yet been arrested or abducted by jealous producers of other shows.)
And lucky for us, Rob was in an especially good mood (did I mention
biggest audience ever?) and willing to spill. So, I had him tackle the
most popular questions sent in by you fans. I'll lead off with the big
news… What's the plan for the rest of the season?
Well, you'll be the first person to hear this. There has been
talk—more than talk—about dropping the whole big mystery idea after
this middle mystery and to do all stand-alone episodes and sort of a
combination of a few things. The network is behind it, and I am
interested in heading in that direction.
Really? Why the change?
One feeling is that the big mysteries keep away the casual TV viewers,
and the other is that the thing that has been least successful since
season one—meaning the things we get the most complaints about—are the
big mysteries. My design in season one was that Veronica's best friend
was dead, and every season regular had an integral role in the
mystery. And unless they wanted every year to kill Veronica's friends,
it's hard to have the same emotional connective that's worth spending
seven, eight, nine episodes on a mystery. It's one of the things we
are deciding on right now.
Is this change something you are interested in or the network is
interested in?
Both. Honestly, I brought it up to the network, and they jumped at the
idea. But what I think we might do is the final mystery we were going
to run instead of running it as our final five is just to play those
as stand-alone episodes and maybe contract that big mystery into a
two-episode thing with a cliffhanger as just a trial balloon. And
hopefully before season four, we'll see how it works. It seems like a
good time to do it—a good fun test balloon. Try it over five and see
how fans and non-fans react.
Will there still be some continuing story arcs?
Yes. I mean, we will still have ongoing personal life stories from
Veronica, so there will be romantic relationships and the normal
travails. We just wouldn't have a mystery at the core.
Well, whatever your plan, I'm in. Honestly, last night was incredible.
And the ratings show it. Congrats.
Thank you. It's so nice to hear, because we have had some glum weeks.
It has been a combination of ratings going down a little lower and
that horrible [Entertainment Weekly] review. And, well, it's just
really good to have some good news. We got our best ever numbers and
really good response to the episode, and we're all really happy today.
I wish we LoVe fans could say the same. Uh... I must admit, I do like
it better when those two are snarky and tortured, but you gotta give
us fans a glimmer of hope. Was that the end of Logan and Veronica?
Here's what I'm willing to say: They are not over. But it will be a
rocky road.
And the next arc is who killed the dean?
Yes.
And are we to believe the dean is the only who is dead?
I will answer that, because I didn't mean to mislead anyone. He is the
only one who is dead. He did not kill his wife and her lover.
I was so happy to see Mac back. I know that she was doing Big Love.
Was it hard to let her go for those episodes?
It's a little tricky, but the Big Love people were great with us. We
love, love, love Tina in the show, and I wish I had her for more than
what used to be 12 but is now 11 episodes.
So, where do things stand on a fourth season? Is there anything we
fans can do to help?
I honestly don't know much. I got an email from a Friday Night Lights
viewer who said lets get Friday Night Lights viewers to watch Veronica
Mars and Veronica Mars viewers to watch Friday Night Lights—and
improve both their ratings, because they say it's the best teen night
on television, to watch them back to back on Tuesdays. I know the more
the network feels it would outrage fans, the better the chance of
getting back. But if the fans write them or contact them, they should
always do it sweetly. Also, promotion equals bigger ratings, so we
won't miss a step when we come back in January.
Last question. And it's an important one. Where can I buy an "Ask Me
About My STD" shirt?
[Laughs.] It's funny, I actually made that up, and I now have one,
too. And by the way, we liked that kid so much—the guy who offered Mac
the whiskey—that he actually makes another appearance. We find out he
was stumbling home drunk from the party and hears the gunshot. So,
he's the only witness who can put a time of death.
Source: LiveJournal
"CW's Veronica Mars (Viewers: 3.49 million; A18-49: 1.6/ 4). Not only
did Veronica Mars hit a season high, it posted its best rating ever
among adults 18-34 (2.0/ 6), it tied its best rating ever among adults
18-49, and had its second biggest audience ever. Retention out of
Gilmore Girls was also improved at 72 percent in total viewers, 80
percent in adults 18-34 and 73 percent among adults 18-49. (pifeedback)"
Is this good enough to get the final two episodes ordered?

I've just seen the "Spit & eggs" promo at the CW website and it's easily the coolest VM one I've ever seen, if not the coolest one of all. Seriously, Fatboy Slim? Amazing. "Right here, right now" fit all the images perfectly. Awesome. Can't wait for next week.
Oh, and since it's not a spoiler 'cos it was in the promo, who do you think it is when V stops running from whoever (supposedly the rapist, I'm thinking he tried to rape her, she fought back and he hit her, that's why her face was all bruised), sits against Wallace and Piz's door and those feet appear? The promo kinda leads us to believe it's the rapist or the one she was running from, but I'm thinking that it's actually why it isn't anything like that. Wishful thinking, but...Logan? She doesn't look necessarily scared of the person she sees...she looks scared of what she's just been through and surprised to see whoever it is.
Sorry if I don't make much sense, I'm just too excited! :-)
No, wait, just saw the "director's cut" scene and V does start to smile when she realizes who's the person standing next to her, so it's either Logan, Keith or some accomplice to the rapist who she wasn't suspecting at that point. I'm still thinking Logan though. Can't be Wallace since, you know, having desperately calling for him outside his door just seconds before, she just wouldn't have *that* reaction upon seeing him, I guess, and can't be Weevil 'cause of the shoes.
