"The Name Of the Game" was part of my childhood. Even after it left the
network, my local NBC station continued to air reruns of the show, so it
was constantly on "in the background."
Sadly, at the time, most episodes left little impression on me - I was
just a kid, remember. But there are two episodes that have stuck in my
mind from that time.
One is the only episode of the show most people I've talked with seem to
"remember" - "L.A. 2017." Actually, most of these people probably
haven't seen it - they only know about it because of the Spielberg and
Wylie connections. But I saw it!
The other is the early episode "The Black Answer," which (I see on the
homepage) was called "gutsy" when it first aired on the network. I've
been looking for a tape of this episode, but haven't yet been
successful.
