Description

Devoted to discussion of the television series "The Name of the Game," which starred Gene Barry, Tony Franciosa, and Robert Stack as intrepid reporters for Howard Publications' People and Crime magazines, generally assisted by series regular Susan Saint James.
Series producers included Richard Irving, Dean Hargrove, Leslie Stevens, David Victor, George Eckstein, Boris Sagal, and Gene L. Coon. The famous theme music was by Dave Grusin along with background music by Dominic Frontiere, Benny Carter, and others. Directors included Steven Spielberg, Barry Shear, Leo Penn, Alexander Singer, Robert Day, Lamont Johnson, Nicholas Colasanto.
The series ran on Mystery Channel back in 1998, but only half the episodes aired before it was dropped. New members please introduce yourself and tell us what you liked best about this series.
