B5 was recieving a message from B5 of the future where B5(future) was attacked by the shadows.
The reason for this was actually a prediction created by the Great Machine of Epsilon3. So Sheridan, Sinclair and gang goes in to save B4 in sector 14 which in turn will save B5 because B4 was suppose to go into a time travel to replace a lost Minbair Station during the shadow battle of 1360.
The distress signal was from Com. Ivonava in the new outfit and she definitely said Earth Alliance. Definitely EA as B5 was a member of the EA (Their previous badge for Earth Force was an E and A combined together.)
Hmm... didn't see the show, but who said that? Was it B5 replying to the distress signal, or something else...

I thought it said Earth aligned station Babylon 5; I suppose they are
still Earth aligned, they're still humans right?

Hi all,
Got this news from the official Star Trek website:
"Star Trek: Voyager will join its two predecessors, Star Trek: The Next
Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in ending its run after seven seasons,
UPN announced. Presently heading towards the end of its sixth season, Star Trek:
Voyager's final episode will air during May of 2001.
UPN's Entertainment President Tom Noonan made the announcement during a meeting
with advertisers. He promised a "surprising conclusion" and a "smashing finale"
to the show, which is UPN's longest-running series.
While no specific details about the fates of the U.S.S. Voyager and her crew
were divulged, November 2000 will bring a special two-hour Star Trek: Voyager
episode."
Well, I hope Harry Kim at least makes Lieutenant before this series end. Heck,
who stays Ensign for 7 years!

Entry in the group works both ways. In your case, an invitation was forwarded to
you, reference to your website on Star Trek and originating in Malaysia. Another
way is that interested parties come across the eGroups through the main website
lists and ask to subscribe.
In the case of this other entry, it was the latter scenario, though it might be
someone else changing their e-mail...
Please feel welcome to forward invitation to join this eGroups to other possibly
interested parties. Just 2 criteria: interest in sci-fan & fantasy, and in
Malaysia. Anyone can send e-mail to 'myscififan-subscribe@egroups.com' to
request subscription, but better to direct to the specific eGroups website:

Thanks.

He's probably right; remember, it'd be far more impressive on the big
screen, the effects can be many times better. Perhaps the Enterprise
involved with the Dominion or some such...? They've had rumours of that
for ages.

That sounds....boring somehow. I think it'd be hard for them to do
properly, unless it becomes X-Files style cloak and dagger, with a
phaser. We'll see I guess.
Some news on the next Star Trek movie too:
'Trek 10', Too€ '¥
While talking up the chances of Roswell surviving its move to Monday
nights, series co-executive producer Jonathan Frakes also gave his
opinion on when the next Star Trek movie is likely to happen€ '¥ and
what he feels it needs to be for it to be successful.
While talking to Fandom.com, Frakes talked about the "when" of the
next movie, saying, "I think Star Trek 10 is probably a step behind
the next TV series. I know that Rick Berman has a commitment to
Paramount to get the next series up and running. While he's doing
that, I know there have been primary meetings and discussions on 10.
Certainly there are no writers on board, no director. I have a
feeling it will be 2001 - maybe 2002 - before we see Star Trek 10.
The new series was supposed to have been in development by this
point, but they're behind schedule."
Regarding what he feels must be done with the movie series, Frakes
doesn't shy away, saying, "I think the next film has to be huge. I
think the stakes have to be higher than they were for Insurrection. I
don't think it can be as inside as the Borg in First Contact. It's
got to be a galactic war movie. It's got to be balls-out, and I think
that will bring all the fans back. We did a horror movie with First
Contact, which was fabulous. And we did a softer, intellectual
romance with Insurrection, which was also cool. But I think for Star
Trek 10, the first Trek of the new Millennium, I think it's just got
to be balls-to-the-wall. A big action war epic with the Federation on
the line, with the Enterprise on the line, with mankind, earth or
something the audience can relate to on the line, and play that great
Picard heroism and have people get knocked around. I think we're
great when we're doing action and we spice it up with other elements.
I think that's the success of the show."
Sounds great if they will actually follow this. But will take some
effort since huge war epics have already been shown in Deep Space 9.
Well, maybe Federation, Romulans, Klingons, Dominion, etc. vs. Borg -
full-scale war or something!

Hey all,
Some news/info/rumours about the next Star Trek series available here
on Cinescape:
http://cinescape.com/
This is the texts:
Word is coming out that Paramount has finally approved Rick Berman
and Brannon Braga's next Star Trek TV series premise. According to a
tipster checking in with TrekToday, TV Chairman Kerry McCluggage is
reported to have finally approved Rick Berman's and Brannon Braga's
5th series premise.
Furthermore, the premise seems to be a mix of at least two previously
rumored concepts. According to the unnamed source, the program goes
back to the "Birth of the Federation". Though that idea would seem to
be fairly dull given what we all know will come, the idea does throw
in a Wild Card factor in the person of a time traveling villain from
the 29th century intent on destroying the Federation before it gets a
chance to bloom. Is it me or does this sound more like Doctor Who
than Star Trek?
If this is the concept, then it isn't all that much of a leap to
suggest that the series would also feature the forming of the
infamous Section 31 Federation intelligence agency, something that
has also been previously rumored.
Meanwhile, TrekWeb seems to be carefully confirming that the story
may be true with word of their source, who previously revealed that
Troi and Barkley would be appearing on Star Trek: Voyager, confirming
the premise to be the real deal. Having said that, the site does warn
that this could just be another in the long line of rumors on the
eventual series.
Time will tell.
Any thoughts?

I think for a really cool space battle you need lots of big ships. But
that's just me :)

If you notice, the opening credits/sequences appear widescreen with the 2
horizontal bars above and below the image. That's how the actual series has been
filmed. What we see has been edited to normal screen size.
And we lose even more to subtitles, the nTV logo, and now advertising
during the show! So, how much do we effectively miss?

I think more like Generations not as a bad movie, but as a movie meant
as a series finisher.

Ensign Dean, Engineer Without A Cause. Please no please no please no :)
I've heard plenty of rumours about a new series; one rumour I've heard
is that they've come up with several ideas, all of which have been
rejected by Paramount. Who knows, eh?

Metrovision might come back, but not with Voyager. They gave it up for some junk
like Earth 2, right?
Scorpion and Season 4 starts more interesting Voyager. A lot of it is skewed
towards Seven of Nine stories, which are normally good anyway. Be prepared to
see much more Borg, and them getting their @$$ kicked!

Yeah... Best part I thought was then Delenn came to the rescue with the Minbari
Fleet and her statements are only human to ever beat the Minbari being behind
her. So, Earthforce ran like hell!
The Thunderbolts are pretty cool. Have atmospheric flight capability as well.
Survivability rate should be higher as well, since the craft accommodates to
pilots, therefore, performance must be at least twice as good as the typical
Starfury.

be an alien captain? Actually, people might not be ready to accept that
yet. As we see now, all lead hero figures are still human, whether man
or woman or multi-ethnic. I hope they don't do Klingons. The last 3 series
had real good coverage of them already. Perhaps Romulans, which I think
still have much room for further development. Maybe what would be best
is some non-Federation starship, with real mixture of different aliens
on real exploration.
I've thought that for quite a while...the only problem is that if it's
any race other than the Klingons, anybody who doesn't already know
Trek
won't really get into it as much. "Romulans? Who are they?". Of course,
it'd be great to see better Romulan sets, and first contact situations
the ROMULAN way! :)
All that would be nice, but realistically, probably not. We've already
got 2 series'(not including tos) about captain on ship roaming around galaxy
doing stuff and 1 space station, mostly in a fixed location one.
What else could they do for some variety? The adventures of Scotty on his
shuttle? that would be funny, anyway. We haven't had a mostly planet-based
one yet, although that might be too earth2-style, wouldn't it? anyway it'd
be interesting, but i still want to catch all those ds9 episodes we missed!

Contains two decks, an introductory article for newbies, and a complete

It's a site just set up by a local enthusiast; good for collectors of

Hey everyone,
Don’t miss the next Babylon 5 episodes on Monday. It should be called Severed
