Hello!!<br>I have created a newsletter/fanzine
for my own MST3K club (Kathryn Sedai's MST3K Guild)
called The Bots' Newsletter, and I need writers!!! If
you have any MiSTings or ideas for columns (I've
already come up with a movie review column and a
classifieds section), then e-mail me at
pearl_forrester@....<br><br>------Katie
My favorite MSTie is Teenage Strangler, #514, not
all that big on many people's list, but I like it.
One problem - no tape of it, anyone have any leads on
a possible trade, or should I check another site?
I'm relatively new to MST3k...I've seen the
movie, and that's what hooked me...but I never had the
Sci-Fi channel until a month ago. I barely caught the
one aired December 27th, does anyone know the title
for those. There was 2 episodes shown then right? If
someone would like to, I'd like any copies of episodes
that anybody would like to send. I don't have any on
tape.<br>you can email me at xphile26@...<br>Thanks
Can be found at this
address:<br><br><a href=http://www.ironminds.com/bbs/index.html
target=new>http://www.ironminds.com/bbs/index.html</a><br><br>I understand he
and some other MST people are
writing freelance for this on-line magazine. And some new
movies will be for sale from Rhino Video next month,
including the "Creeping Terror" and "Bloodlust". I can't
wait!
Has anyone else noticed how much "Magmar" (a
Pokemon) looks like the "Solarite" in The Phantom Planet
from Season Nine? Can we say "copyright
infringement?"<br><br>Maybe they should pay restitution (of say an 11th
season) for stealing the charachter. Just a thought!!!
hi! I'm binky and I'm such a huge MST3K fan. I
have three episodes on tape, "Devil Doll", the episode
with Jackie Coogan in hot pants, and "The Deadly
Mantis" which is by far my fave. In fact, it's the movie
that pretty much got my fiance and I interested in
pick-up lines. :) HA!! Figure out which illustrious scene
I'm talking about and I'll give you candy! No, wait,
I can't give you candy....sorry... :)~
I was wondering if anybody knows where i can get
Times Of The Apes, or ANY of the 91/92 season<br>I have
lost most of that year (which in my opinion was one of
the best) due to losing tapes or just wear and tear.
I have looked on amazon.com and local stores but
havent had much luck. I guess i will have to resort to
buying bootlegged tapes. If anybody can give me some
info on where i could get some of these episodes
please let me know.
"Time of the Apes" was a Sandy Frank
film.<br>Sandy Frank says he'll see Best Brains in Hell before
he'll sell them the rights to those films again. Unless
he passes away and the family feels differently - I
wouldn't expect to "Apes", "Fugitive Alien" I & II or the
Godzilla & Gamera films on Rhino.<br>If you want copies of
that season's episodes - email me and we'll talk (it's
in my profile).
I should've known there were mst3k clubs. I've
been in music clubs only & it finally dawned on me to
look for a mst3k club. I really don't like 99% of tv &
usually spend more time collecting cd's; but i've always
loved mst3k. I was happy to see it listed in the ReTV
cataloge, so now i'm getting an episode in the mail every 4
to 6 wks. (I started way too late recording them) My
fave so far, of the ones i've gotten up to now is "I
Accuse My Parents"......silly stuff
I believe I got that through columbia house video
club. They had a fairly good selection, as far as old
tv standards go. I was surprised to see mst3k show
up all of a sudden. MST3K is the only show I like
enough to subscribe to like that (by a long shot).
I'm sure I locked in on the most expensive way to mst3k-fulfillment. That was
the first & only place I've seen mst3k offered continually like that... one in
the mailbox every month
Ain't it grand, though? I love it, if it weren't so doggone expensive--they
really stick you with the sales tax. They even tax the shipping--for me they do
anyway.
Rhino's got 'em all listed, but overall? I gotta
guess near 160 over ten seasons. I've been recovering
my collection, over 60 and almost all of em Sci-Fi
era. I musta gone through like ten cases of hamdingers
when I lost most of my CC episodes to a very
unfortunate incident. Still circulating the tapes though, and
it keeps our Sunday night viewing tradition fresh!
And without morgaging my unborn children to columbia
house. Tempting though...
Rhino's on record (although everything's
negotiable) that they are only going to release approximately
30 CC episodes and then go on to the Sci-Fi ones.
Don't know if "Amazing Colossal Man" counts in that
total since they had to pull it (it looked like a bad
transfer to me anyway).<br><br>Wish they'd stop wasting
dubbing time on these "Shorts" tapes (get the feeling we
know which episodes they WON'T be releasing judging by
which shorts they use?).<br><br>THIS is what that
website MST3Kinfo.com should have done - have an
"Experiment of the Month" club to send out Rhino tapes.
