Yes, I'm new to yahoo, and found this club. However, I've been a hardcore MST3K
fan since 1996. Glad I found this club. Looking forward to being a
member.

Later

When I'm down or lonely I throw in POD PEOPLE or
MANOS and I feel like I'm re-visiting old friends. I
first started watching the show back in 1992 and as I
recall it was shown really late on Sunday nights,
usually a time when everyone I knew was unavailable to
hang out. Beer in hand and a bag of chips on the
coffee table, I'd pal around with my surragote TV
buddies on the SOL. Kinda pathetic really.

I started watching right before season 7, witch was Mike on CC, but I started
watching during reruns, so I started with Joel, then found out about Mike. :)

What about MST3K60? Did anybody catch that first before seeing a "proper" show?
Just wondering.

As an actor, and after honing his craft as a
thespian, Anthony starred as "Tony Cardoza" in a few films
that are still playing internationally today. He then
went on to become a film editor, production manager
,writer, producer, and director. He eventually became
president of Global West Studios (formally Mary Pickford,
Charlie Chaplin Studios), now known as Occidental
Studios, in
Hollywood.

********************************

Guys, isn't Occidental

He's talking about The Mystery Science Theater
Hour, a syndicated version of the show. You can find
out more about it in the Amazing Colossal Episode
Guide or here:

I figured a fun thing to do, would be to ask ppls
opinions, on an episode. I just saw a tape of this one,
from a trade, and thought it was great.

This
movie was of pro-establishment overtones, and of
course, the total lack of redeming moral value in our
star, Michael Landen.

LOL! The policeman used Michael Landen throwing
milk at a checkout boy, as an example of his inner
rage!

I can see how some would forget about it. I think
it was only shown in reruns, twice. That's the one
of only reasons I didn't tape it myself.

I
dunno if there were copyright problems, but they
(Sci-Fi) never seem to rerun that one, Gorgo or The
Incredibley Strange Creatures...... episodes anymore, either.

Yes, it actually IS pretty good in it's original
context. Reminiscent of "Thriller".

Don't forget

I only saw the Incredibly Strange Creatures..... once. It was so weird. :) IWATW
was shown I think 3 times. God I love that movie. IWATW is also shown on
AMC....check it out.

I don't really care for IWATW that much. And I
love old back and white horror movies. I don't know
what it is. Maybe all the parents and policemen saying
"You must BOW to authority" all the time.

One
of the movies I think they riffed that was actually
good though, was Gorgo. I think that one was too
ground level for the show.

I once knew a guy
that got p*ssed off that riffed "Quest of the Delta
Knights" because it was a "good movie". lol

I guess
it takes all kinds though. ;)

"Gorgo" is one of the better episodes. I always
love it when they riff monster movies. I'm a big fan
of old monster movies, especially
Godzilla.

And, I saw "Quest of the Delta Knights" before it was
riffed on MST3K. Honestly, that was one of the stupidest
things I have ever seen.

Laura

I love all the Godzilla and especially the Gamera
episodes, but didn't like Gorgo, as an episode. I like it
as a movie, though.

And yes, "Quest" is an
intensely bad movie. "My name is Leonardo, and I'm from
Vinchi" *sp?* to parapharse. lol

Funnily, I just watched that episode last night.
It's a truly horrendous film with absolutely nothing
about it to recommend. Can you imagine the film-makers
sitting around patting themselves on the back for that
lame-ass "Leonardo" garbage? Oooooh, are'nt we clever! I
tell ya, that movie pisses me off more than any other
MST experiment. What bone-headed arrogance!!!

Has anyone noticed that Delta Knights seems to be a rip-off of Star Wars set in
the Middle Ages ? I discussed the similarities when I commented it at the IMDB.
Read it and tell me if you don't agree.

If you do, I'm the founder of a MST3K Tape
Trading club, to witch the addy is posted in the link
section. It's a new club, so we're looking for
members.

Wild Guy's MST3K Tape Trading Club

Of course,
you can't trade anything that you could buy at
Blockbuster, or from the Info club. I agree with the tape
trading creedo, that the Best Brains deserve all the
profits from the Rhino and Info club titles out there.
