The best TV shows this season aren't on TV -- they're on The Other
Network
Un-Cabaret presents
THE OTHER NETWORK
A festival of the best un-aired TV shows ever made
"The Other Network" is back for three special shows this winter.
ALL-APATOW Sat. Jan. 31 - The Other Network brings you three great
un-aired TV pilots by Judd Apatow, the genius behind "Freaks &
Geeks", "The
Ben Stiller Show", and more. Judd will appear live to introduce his
shows
and do a Q&A with the audience, and will screen three complete shows:
o "SICK IN THE HEAD" is a starring David Krumholtz as a psychiatrist
in his
first day on the job, Kevin Corrigan, Andrea Martin, and an amazing
performance by Amy Poehler as a suicidal patient.
o "NORTH HOLLYWOOD" is an hilarious, and surprisingly realistic,
story
about aspiring actors on the fringe of Hollywood featuring Amy
Poehler, and
a great turn by Judge Reinhold playing himself.
o "LIFE ON PAROLE" written by Apatow and Brent Forrester ("The
Simpsons",
"The Ben Stiller Show") is another great single-camera comedy about a
parole
officer.
ALL-ODENKIRK Sat. Feb. 7 Bob Odenkirk is one of the great comic voices
of our time (Emmy-winning writer of "Mr. Show", "Saturday Night
Live", "The
Ben Stiller Show"). The networks keep hiring him to make pilots that
they
then decide they don't want to air. Bad news for millions of fans
across the
country, great news for The Other Network. Join Bob for live intros
and Q&A
as he screens:
o "NEXT" - The sly, sarcastic sketch show starring Bob, featuring Ray
Romano, Fred Armisen, Andy Dick, David Cross. (Episodes 1 & 2)
o"HIGHWAY TO OBLIVION" Bob's latest, was written and produced by Bob,
Howard Kremer, and Chip Pope ("Austin Stories") and stars Dave Foley.
o "LIFE ON MARS" is Bob's own distinctive mixture of comedy and drama
that
he calls "Cramadree" and features Janeane Garafalo and Jack Plotnick.
CHANNEL 101 Sun. Feb. 1 The Other Network presents greatest hits from
this wildly-popular local screening series featuring original 5-minute
pilots starring, among others, Jack Black. Conceived and programmed
by Dan
Harmon & Rob Schrab (the evil mastermind's behind "Heatvision &
Jack") who
describe Channel 101 as "the Thunderdome of home video."
