Hi,

The Avengers is on the BBC every afternoon.  I used to
have basic cable and then got Direct TV. It really is
a good value and has more stations if you are living
in the US. Especially since it has the Biography
Channel. emma

Thanks for the message.  But, sadly I dont get the Hallmark channel.
I only get WGN and what ever is on Basic Cable.
Emma Peel, that sounds sounds like The Avengers.
It was always one of my favorite TV shows.  I wish they would
air it again.

   Do you happen to get the Hallmark Channel? Matlock is usually on Sunday nights
around 8 or 9. Also, sometimes during the week he is on this channel also.  You
might want to check your local listings if you get this channel. The Suspect was
on last night. emma

Not sure if this post is allowed or not, but I've started a fund
raiser to help get Nancy Stafford to come speak at my Church.  In
addition to my Church's prospective fund raising/love offering, I am
raising personal funds to donate to the cause as well.

As a dealer/crafter in vintage paper, I've accumulated 1000s of
recipes mostly 40s/50s/60s with a sprinkling of recent ones.  I can
put together "themed" packages or a variety.  You can request
desserts, main dishes or other categories "only" , but if you go with
a variety I can offer you the best deal.

Variety Recipes

100 Recipes - $5.00 (this includes postage)
200 Recipes - $10.00 (this includes postage)
1,000 Recipes - $25.00 (this includes postage)

Requested "Theme" Recipes

25 Recipes - $5.00 (this includes postage)
50 Recipes - $10.00 (this includes postage)
250 Recipes - $25.00 (this includes postage)

Again, all funds are going toward inviting Nancy Stafford to speak at
my Church.  I will gladly share references as well as customer

Thanks for your response.  I thought it might be the Entertainer by
Scott Joplin and I played a MIDI file of it slowed way down but it
doesn't sound quite like it.  I seem to remember the same slow tune
from another movie, Cotton Club or Ragtime or ????

The music in question is a slow, gentle, piano riff in a ragtime style
that is the background music as he is driving through the country.  It
is somewhat familer, like I've heard it in another movie but I cannot
place it.  Any ideas?

Howdy!  So happy to be a member of this group!  I LOVE Matlock and
enjoy the reruns so much.  I love how Ben can be so cantankerous, but
yet he has that lovable streak -- reminds me so much of my own dad!  :-)

Anyway, just wanted to ask if anyone had any pictures for sale or
trade of Nancy Stafford or Julie Sommars (from the actual Matlock
series).  I have lots to trade on various celebs from 1940s-present
and even have quite a bit of 70s material on Julie that I'd like trade
off or sell.
