Commercial networks told: look at moi

Foxy morons...Kath and Kim.
They may be Aunty's top raters but the foxy morons from Fountain Lakes are on
the open
market, and might end up at a commercial network.
Kath And Kim executive producer Rick McKenna confirmed the hit comedy's "legal
obligations to the ABC have expired". But he left the door open, saying: "We are
still in
discussions with the ABC, as we are with other networks. Nothing has been
decided."
The fourth series will go into full production next month, although
writer-performers Jane
Turner and Gina Riley have already filmed scenes with a guest star, Matt Lucas
of British
TV comedy Little Britain.
McKenna, Riley and Turner will consider offers once the fourth series wraps up.
"It's a decision we would make very carefully," McKenna said. "The production
just loomed
up on us very quickly in terms of everyone's available dates, and we didn't want
to rush
into anything, so we're looking at a decision midyear."
The Seven and Nine networks have never made a secret of their desire to secure
Kath And
Kim. "There's interest from everyone - networks, the public, the media," McKenna
said.
"The most important thing for us is to make a good show."
