Greetings everyone.

As you should be all aware by now the new series of Doctor Who
starring David Tennant has begun on Prime. As each episode ends,
feel free to post your thoughts on these boards, but please be aware
that are some members who aren't up to scratch on all the spoilers
regarding future episodes so please avoid from posting any.

The news about the new companion for the next series has been
announced and as such I have no objections to people discussing
about her work or whether or not she's a good choice for the series,
but again please avoid from posting any spoilers regarding her
character in specific episodes - general comments are fine.

Some of you will have noticed that there's been a fair bit of
promotional material about the new series in various newspapers and
magazines. If you happen to spot an article about the series, and
if you have the technology, then can I suggest that you scan a copy
and send it via email to Alden Bates; I asked Alden if he would
consider making an archive of clippings on the NZDWFC web site and
his response was along the lines of "If you send it, I will put it
up." The following publications are already covered by members -
Dominion Post, New Zealand Herald, TV Guide, Listener and Southland
Times - but if you spot any articles in other periodicals then feel
free to send them in to Alden.

Finally, it is chat night tonight (as it is every Friday) but
unfortunately I may not be able to make it as I'm flying up to
Christchurch this weekend for the Rugby test. Despite that, I hope
that people will use the Chat Room even if/when I can't make it; the
start time is from around 8pm.
