Hi folks.

I had planned on organizng our first chat session for the year and
decided to check that the Chat Room was in working order. That's
when I got the shock of my life; Yahoo! have now decided to remove
ALL Java Chat Rooms from Yahoo! Groups. This policy has obviously
been in place for a while but unfortunately all Yahoo! Group mods
weren't notified of this change.

Yahoo! now want everyone to use Chat facilities via their Yahoo!
Messenger service and I am in the process of creating a new Chat
Room for us, but unfortunately it is going to take time. What's
worse is that if you are keen on joining myself and other Kiwi Fans
in our new Chat Room you are going to have to sign up to Yahoo!
Messenger first. I'm not pleased about this at all but I'm afraid
this is all beyond my control. Once the new Chat Room is set up
I'll let you all know but in the meantime please bear with me.

The good news, however, is that this does NOT affect the Message
Board in anyway, so you are still free to post any/everything you
like about Doctor Who. On that topic, I know that the New Series is
airing in the UK at the moment, but could you please refrain from
posting your thoughts on the new episodes until they've aired in New
Zealand. A lot of people won't have contacts in the UK like others
do and I think, like me, they would prefer to avoid any
anticipointment. ;-)
