Greetings! I'm a loyal AS&J fan from way-back-when. Call me Mick. I just
stumbled onto this site, and already there are folks here I know. Hi, Terry.
<br><br>Mick
I have a variety of different versions. I think I
finally have a set with all the pieces. I keep thinking
one day I'll open that Columbia House catalogue and
see the show offered. Sorry, long standing fantasy.
It's just so nice to watch the Universal Playback
versions and see the whole show. Uncut and in glorious
color. And the sound not all stretched and scratchy.
Maybe one day someone will get smart and release the
rest. <br><br>Terri
When I first saw Alias in rerun it was on a local
station. I don't know if anything was missing yet from the
episodes. But we did not own a vcr yet. A year later CBN
which is now the Family Channel was running it which is
when I recorded it. But I was able to just keep
saying, "They cut something here." Or "They cut something
there." Like the Do wacka song. And what's funny is that
I have been told that my eps are more complete than
what is being shown now.<br><br>Michelle
Michelle Monet has to be one of the most
irritating characters every created. I think most feel the
same way. <br><br>I taped every episode I could when
TVLand was running the show. And while I knew
syndication had 'required' cutting, I honestly couldn't
remember all the bits that were gone.<br><br>I
accidentally stumbled upon the show on a Spanish language
station here in Los Angeles. They were showing the show
in uncut form. Course I couldn't understand it, and
the voices were wrong, but that sort of started me
looking for uncut versions. <br><br>Universal Playback
has released five episodes in lovely uncut form, but
they're in PAL format. They can be converted and this
seems to work fine. <br><br>There are also some nice
folks on Kid and Heyes and ASJfans who have the uncut
BBC versions and will make copies for the rest of us.
That's where I got my set. And I tell you, it's worth
the investment. There are so many wonderful moments
that have been snipped over the years. It's really
like seeing the show for the first time, all over
again! <br><br>Terri
Thanx anyway. I know how you feel about the
character of Michelle. I have always hated that she shares
my name. I have a tape of that episode but my copy
has that song cut out thanks to the miracle of
syndication. in fact thanks to that all my episodes are
missing something.<br><br>Michelle
Hi,<br><br>Sorry for the delay in getting back to
you with the script information. There are no words
to either the first song Michelle sings or the
'infamous' Do Wacka Do song. The script only says:
<br><br>"As the Mariachis begin to play her song, Michelle
makes her entrance, singing something sentimental of
the period"<br><br>So this is different. The show has
her playing a solo guitar and singing in French.
Didn't sound all that period based to me, but I'm not an
expert.<br><br>The script continues:<br><br>"She plays shamelssly to
Curry, who is seated so close to the stage he's risking
singeing from the footlights"<br><br>I seem to recall
Heyes and Curry were standing at the bar. And since
when would a cantina in a town like San Juan have
footlights? Sigh, the writers were at it again.
<br><br>That's it for the script on this point. Sorry, no help
with the words. Although it's pretty clear in the tape
I have. I could 'force' myself to watch and copy
them down. Even though the character of Michelle makes
my teeth clench. <br><br>It's just so hard to watch
those two gorgeous fellas. Why it was torture to make
myself watch Jailbreak at Junction City and Miracle at
Santa Marta today. Just plain torture. :)<br><br>Terri
I am a new member on this page.Just found it! My

If any of you has a friend that you think would
like to be in this club please let them know. You can
even send an invite through Yahoo. It is in the member
tools selection to the left. <br><br>Michelle
Hey Carla,<br><br>I love 'having' to watch. :)
The next couple of weeks is going to be busy, but
after that I should be able to do the script comparison
to the show. It's fun for me to watch with the
script. Although I do keep wishing I could see some of
those outtakes. Think of all those scenes on the
cutting room floor. <br><br>Hi Lennie, it's nice to meet
you. <br><br>And I'm sorry if this message goes
through twice. I responded to the e-mail, not through the
group.
Hi,<br>Great idea with this club.<br>But it would
be funnier with a larger number of members, I'd
think. Why not invite some more to join!<br>I would like
to discuss the episodes, all 50 of them. One at the
time of course. My favourite Heyes is Pete but I like
watching the Roger episodes as well.<br><br>Lennie
Hi, Terri,<br><br>I'd love to discuss any
episode! I like Michelle's idea of putting titles in a hat
as well. Having the scripts is wonderful and I'd be
very interested in knowing what's
different.<br><br>Carla
Hi Michelle,<br><br>I can check and see if the words to the songs are there. I
sort of ran out of time and stopped comparing. Any particular episode or song?
<br><br>Terri
Or something I thought of after my last post. I
could put the ep titles in a hat and draw at random.
Also a question, in the scripts you have does it
provide the words to the songs that were
sung?<br><br>Michelle
Hi Michelle,<br><br>Well, I have my favorites as
I expect everyone else does. We could start at the
top. But that would mean everyone would have to watch
the pilot again. Darn. I know that's a tough thing to
do. Anyway, my vote would be to start at the top and
work down. <br><br>I have the scripts for all the
episodes and would love to share what's different if
anyone would be interested. Time permitting of
course.<br><br>Thanx,<br><br>Terri<br>(Who's now really off to work)
Morning All,<br><br>First thanx Michelle for the
new story. I just printed it off and will hopefully
get a moment to read it at lunchtime.<br><br>Will we
be discussing ASJ here? I imagine we've all
discussed the episodes somewhere else, but somehow I never
get tired of watching or talking about the
shows?<br><br>Hope you all have a good day, I'm off to work now.
