None planned by SpikeTV.

SpikeTV seems to be very lazy with its TV schedule. You often see
back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back MXC, or back-to-
back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back STAR TREK.

For STAR TREK or MXC, one episode per week is enough.

YAWN.....................

So would I! Going through JS withdrawals, I'd really love to see
anything that's even close to a Joe Schmo show. And this one sounds
almost identical.

Yah, I guess this is done here in the States all the
time. A show just starts up that is an exact clone of
a show from Europe, but has no reference to where it
came from. "Who wants to be a Millionaire", "American
Idol", etc.

I'm sure they are aware of it. The show is too much like Joe Schomo for
them not to have gotten permission from SpikeTV. Copyng an idea is one
thing and they could probably get away with it, but to copy the challenges
too (like guess the underwear one) is pushing things way too far if you are
doing it without permission. see:

days 1 and 2. I wonder if they'll do the dog poop bit?

You would think that they would at least acknowledge somewhere on the site
that the show is based on Joe Schmo.

Wow. With that level of plagiarism, I'm really hoping the producers
are working with the Joe Schmo team. You could literally drop in the
different actors'/characters names from JS and nothing would be
different.

OMG
I hope spike got money for this opr actually sold this
show to them. Its not similar to JS1 it IS JS1 with
different actors:

from the web site:

"The star nine actors are: Sarah Thomson as Tiffany,
the rich bitch; Stephen Hall as Mule, the ex-SAS
soldier; Jason Fitch as Mick the prick; Victoria
Blackman as Mary, the virgin; Awanui Simich-Pene as
Rima the schemer; Jeremy Birchall as Billy, the gay
guy; Charlie McDermott as Ben, the best mate; Kirsty
Cooke as Betty the new age counsellor, and Mark
Ferguson as the smarmy host."

I mean EXACTKY the same! With the exception of the
wors "mate" for "buddy", and the Dr. Pat character is
a "new age counselor".

Even one of the episode descriptions:

"Sam starts to stand up to Mick, but freaks out when
Billy finds pictures of Mule's bum in his photo album
and has a tantrum. Who will be voted out in the first
fake elimination ceremony?"

The gay guy finds pictures of the militry guy's "bum"
in his photo album and freaks! A little different (it
wasn't the Hutch type character), but come on!

Rich

I've kinda wondered if "Joe Schmo 3" couldn't be set in England, or
France, or Australia, or some other country where the population
isn't exposed to the genius that is "Joe Schmo". Last week premiered
a new show in New Zealand called "Living the Dream" that looks
AMAZINGLY like JS1. I'd like one of our cable networks to pick this
up (SpikeTV? Comedy?) and broadcast it here. You can read the first
episode summary at http://tvnz.co.nz/view/tv2_story_skin/437684%

That would be awesome! Imagine having a big brother type of show
sequestered in a house but maybe 3 or 4 of them could be Schmoes!
I'd watch it!

I think they could/should do another Schmo Show. There are so many
reality shows out there, who would know if it was a Schmo (fake)
reality show or not? I think they should do another one, but in a
different format. There are people out there who could still be

Will they have a rerun of the Joe Schmo 2 Finale?

I watched JS2 from start to finish and I made sure I watched every
episode the first time it premiered. I also recorded all episodes
when the marathon occured. But, Something came up at 7 o'clock, so I
could not record OR watch the finale. I feel so bad, that I missed
all 2 hours, so does anyone know if they will replay it? I probably
won't be able to get the dvd so this would be my last chance.

Instead of figuring out another way to dupe new Schmoes for Joe Schmo
3, why doesn't SpikeTV do a spinoff? They could do a romance reality
show based around Ingrid and call it Better-than-average Schmo:
Ingrid Returns.

Fans of Average Joe will understand the reference.

If any of the SpikeTV folks are reading... I am willing and eager to
be one of the future suitors.

This is an excellent point! I've wondered about that myself for a
long time. Also, in the early teaser of the show they showed a
picture of Ingrid hooked up to the lie-detector machine. I think she
had a camo shirt on or something. I don't know who could answer this
for us (unless it's Ralph Garman or another of the cast), and we may
have to hope it's on the additional footage part of the wished-for
DVD. Does anybody have any insights on this??????
