Well, folks, you know I've been "lurking" at this other website for
weeks now, and it's amazing what's being said about the "Living the
Dream" show in New Zealand:
What happened on the last episode?
Following a detailed re-cap of the show up until this point, we are
reminded that Sam last week voted out Tiffany, with whom he had
become quite close.
"It was the hardest decision," he says in interviews. "I apologised
to her. It was pretty confusing - a very hard thing to do."
Sam and Ben discuss his vote in Sam's room. They didn't like
Tiffany's parting comment - "Bro's before Ho's".
Sam remains frustrated by Mick yet again winning immunity.
"We should burn that jacket," he says, referring to the immunity
cloak.
Decadence
The three remaining guys - Sam, Ben and Mick, come out dressed in
togas. They are to participate in a challenge where they must bite
into a hanging lamb carcass while handcuffed. Whoever can deposit the
most amount of gnawed meat into their bowl wins. Gross. Mick says it
was probably one of the most disgusting things he's ever done.
Ben wins with 574 grams. He wins "the latest in 4 wheel technology" -
a remote control car.
Special meal
At their "last supper" the boys are giving the special privilege of
eating off their special elimination plates. They discuss their most
memorable moments in the house.
Sam cites the moment Mary's fiancé turns up to find her handcuffed to
Sam in the spa pool.
Mick's is when he lost his temper upon being booted out.
Sam also talks about when Mary hurled the melon at Mark when she was
all mad at him.
Last day
Tonight, Sam will find out the truth about Living the Dream.
The various cast members discuss Sam's qualities as a person.
But has Sam already uncovered the truth? He noticed in his travel
documents that his hotel has been booked until the end of the show,
as if the production knew he would still be there at the end. He asks
Executive Producer Julie Christie about it.
"That's a mistake," she says hastily. Crisis averted. Maybe.
Final elimination
The cast members discuss their nervousness about Sam learning the
truth. Some are worried, some are excited.
When the final vote is about to occur, Mark re-introduces all the
eliminated contestants, who will decide the final winner.
The contestants all get to ask the final three a question. Plentiful
platitudes follow.
The final three find themselves justifying why they each should win,
and recalling some of the more extreme moments in the house.
The votes are not anonymous this time around - each person must hold
on to their's and read it out themselves.
Rima: She voted for Mick, because he never stopped playing the game.
Mary: She voted for Sam, because he was so nice to her.
Mule: He voted for Sam, because he's the only one he could trust.
Billy: He voted for Ben, because he made him laugh.
Betty: She voted for Mick, because he was the most real.
Tiffany: She says "payback time", then the image freezes and the
episode is "to be continued"!!!
Crikey!
On the next episode, screening October 12:
The result of the final voting is announced, but there appears to be
something wrong. Sam finally learns that the only real thing in this
reality show has been him, and his reaction stuns everyone.
