townspeople were filmed for a reality series to air on Spike TV.

• When: The show, planned as an eight-week series, will be shown in
early 2005.

• Why Riverside? Shatner wanted a small town, and it is the home of
Trek Fest, an annual event in June that celebrates Shatner's "Star
Trek" character, Capt. James T. Kirk.
