It will be interesting to me to see the drama a competiton like this
creates. I just watched the rerun of the last Bachelor. I wish
Aaron had kept Christy a little longer. Her pleading and crying was
one of the best parts of the show.

NAH! Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. Everyone wants to be
on TV, no matter how embarrasing and degrading. Years of Americas
Dumbest Home Videos and Jerry Springer have proved that.

Maybe Evan is only a part-time construction worker and was only
waiting for something "better" to come along??? I understand his last
name is Marriott---as in the popular hotel chain. Hmmmmmmmmm...
Nah, Fox won't be in any deep doo-doo over any of this....believe me,
they've had their lawyers cook up one heck of a release for all contestants
to sign before they even got involved. They're covering their butts, and
they have some of the best lawyers doing it for them...

Hi!
I just signed up for this group.
I can't wait till the show starts. I'm curious about this one.
I enjoyed the bachelor, temptation island, etc.
This one... I have a little theory,, I may be wrong, but,
To me,, where the hell is this guy from?? 19,000 a year?
as A construction worker? i think not.
Construction workers are highly paid where i'm from.
Hubby thinks its a crock. He's a Construction foreman and his lowest
paying guy gets something in the range of $23/hour.
My theory is that this guy really "IS" Loaded. & they are just going
to end up "testing" the girls to see if it's just the money they are
after.
Wouldn't Fox be in some deep doodoo if they lied to these girls about
him being rich, bringing them on national tv and possibly embarassing
the heck out of them? Just makes me more eager for the show to start.
Anywho! Sorry for going on & on!
Eager to hear everyones thoughts & Comments!

HELLO ALL WELL WE ARE DOWN TO 1 WEEK NOW UNTIL SHOW STARTS ARE U ALL
AS EXCITED AS IAM?? SURE YA ARE. MY DAUGHTER MELISSA JO IS STILL
TIGHT LIPPED LIKE SHE HAS BEEN SINCE GETTING HOME FROM FRANCE BUT
THATS OK WE ALL INCLUDING MYSELF JUST HAVE TO WATCH AND SEE HOW IT
GOES AND ENDS. LATER, MELISSAJOSMOM
Nuance, I guess this is where I am coming from. I have been looking
around at other message boards and some people are really brutal to
the girls on this show. I think what I realized, is that the girls
that go on these shows probably never looked at a message board and
have no idea what some of the little minds are saying. Having said
that, it is easy to understand that some of the ladies will take a
free trip to a foreign country to learn a new culture, meet new
friends, get some face time on tv and not worry about what little
minds say on the web. I do believe that this show is a little
different because it is making a farce out of the girls. I think
there will be more "public" press about this show than many of the
others. This may hurt a little for some of the girls. They want to
make the girls look like golddiggers. Have you looked at any of the
other message boards about this show?
As I said before, none of these girls knew anything about the show
except that they were going to France all expenses paid. I think if
you got picked to be on the show you have to be crazy not to go. Of
coarse if you have no ambition to travel and to learn about another
culture I could see why you would say "Just doing the show is crazy
enough. I still don't know why she would even do this." A person
with the ambition to travel wouldn't think twice not to go.

Nuance, I think Howard Stern Sucks. What a discusting piece of you
know what. I hope your friend stays away from him. If she happens
onto his show, you will know more about her than you ever wanted to
know. But from what you have said about her, I doubt that she will
do something that crazy. Just doing the show is crazy enough. I
still don't know why she would even do this. I have learned that we
don't really know people and that surprises are always waiting to
happen. I guess you will see how things go after the show is over,
if not before. In any case, stay close to your friend for as much
support as you can give her. I really think she will need it in the
very near future.
She says that the good out weigh the bad. She had a great time and
it looks like she has made some really good friends out of all of
this.
Have you hear that Howard Stern loves the whole idea of this show.
Now I really feel sorry for my friend. Howard Stern is going to run
havoc with these poor helpless girls.

Way to go Nuance. These girls are just ordinary people just like the
rest of us except much higher maintenance. I think they are in for a
lot of ragging by the public because of the nature of the show. They
will have to endure the heat because it is going to get very hot in
here. Hey, this is reality tv, what do you expect. Of course Fox
has started the whole "Golddigger" thing themselves to hipe up the
show and of course, the ladies are the ones that look bad. I guess
if you are going to go on reality tv you have to be prepared to take
the bad with the good. I guess the good was the trip and experiences
in France. The bad is yet to come. I wish your friend a lot of luck
and hope she doesn't ever regret having done this show.
I have to agree with the other people who know people on the show.
My friend is on the show too. I took her to the airport when she
left. What sucks about being so close to someone on the show is that
they can't tell me ANYTHING. She couldn't even tell me where in
France she stayed. So to help her out I don't ask her anything
anymore. I have met about 40% of the girls and have to say they look
better in person than in the pictures. They are all beautiful and
really nice. They definately don't come off to be golddiggers. My
friend is definately not a golddigger.
What that one person said about "The Big Choice" is right. They had
no clue what they were getting themselves into. But if you were
offered an all expense paid trip to France wouldn't you go too???
You would have to be a fool not to.
HEY EVERYONE HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH EVERYONE. WHICH U GUYS WOULD TRY
TO COME IN ROOM MORE OFTEN. WE NEED ALOT MORE PEOPLE POSTING AND
RETURNING SO COME ON LETS ROCK!!
I know the Melissa from Minneapolis (dark curly hair—the on
who winks to a cash register sound during the promo they've
been running). I finally spoke with her since she's returned. she
said it was an absolute blast and that France was breath-taking!
I told her to get ready to be recognized everywhere for a long
time. It'll be interesting how it all plays out. i'm trying not to
squeeze too much other info out of her because I want to play
along and be surprised when i'm supposed to be.
lol yep i bet it would but one question?? whos the other mom?? iam
the only one i see here right now are you a female?? with name like

That link is broken, just because it broke into two lines. Here's a
better link to the Joe Millionaire forum. I normally wouldn't do
this, but I just want to correct the link, and y'all might be
interested in the recaps.

great TV!
I first heard of the show during the second week of September. A
friend of mine had sent in a "audition" tape to the people at
"Elimidate" a few months earlier, but rather than hearing back
from them, she recieved a call from FOX. They told her that she
had been picked for a new TV Reality Show call, "The Big
Choice." I thought it sounded a bit suspicious and was thus,
wary of how "real" this "reality" show really was. She had not
once met with anyone...it was all rushed over the phone. Plus
she knew very little about the whole thing...just that it was a
hush-hush "Bachelor-esque" FOX show, that involved traveling to
Europe. She's an actress and figured that this could give her
great leverage in landing more worthy gigs in the future. Not a
horrible idea i suppose... After the theater production we had
been working on together came to an end, she was flown off to
some undisclosed location in an undisclosed country in Europe.
We now have, of course, learned that that location was
somewhere in France, that the "Millionaire" bachelor was
not-by-any-means a "Millionaire," and that "The Big Choice" was
abruptly changed to the series' actual name, "Joe Millionaire."
Kinda interesting to say the very least. Since she has returned, i
have not been able to get ahold of her (strangely). But when/if i
do, i'll post whatever i think everyone else might find interesting.
It's going to be great! These women are going to be all kinds of
p*ssed off... looked like they alluded to it in the promos... a
couple shots of some less than happy women... This show is going to
grab male and female audiences - probably why they aired promos
during the Redskins game!

i was rereading the writeup on this show....and this line stuck out
to me:
"....If the woman agrees to continue the relationship, Joe will be
forced to tell the truth - about his empty bank account."
i suppose that 'agreeing to continue the relationship', and being
proposed to or agreeing to marriage are not the same.....but.....is
this not possibly close to experiencing the ultimate high and the
ultimate low within seconds of one another?
at one moment, she is going to realize that she has won....no doubt

high powered women.....may not take this lightly nor laying down.
