I am breaking my long silence due to a strange discovery...it is
funny what you come up with when you Google yourself.
My story "Working Overtime" was translated into Russian last year and
can be found at www.rxwp.ru . How the translator (Imprest) managed
to cope with American idioms is beyond me, given what I saw in
Google's back translation. "Joxer" is transliterated
into "Dzhokser", and the Gabrielle & Joxer Romantics Society
is "Romantic Club Gabriel and Dzhoksera". (Russian, like Latin and
Greek, has different endings for different cases.)
Of course I printed out copies for my archives. Just a curious
footnote. People seem to pick up on it at fanfiction.net, too.
My current projects are the Theseus novel and one or two potential
model railroading articles. Naturally much of my spare time goes to
Maria.
Hope you are all doing well. The recent stories I've seen look good.
Break a leg,
Phil
