Richard Barnes wrote a short "book" titled I Dream of Jeannie: The
Adventure Continues. It was okay. He did write some interesting bits about
how Jeannie spent her 2000 years in her bottle, though. Currently, we do
have a fanfic author working on quite the novella of Jeannie's life before
she became a Djinni, and her life with the Blue Djinn before she was
bottled up and lost at sea. I have no idea when her story will be finished,
and she does not have anything to give the mailing list at the moment, but
I am sure she will get a lot done over the holidays : )

We are also trying to figure out how he got corked up as well. We have not
yet figured out what happened to him after Tony released him and they got
away from him. That's another one of those stories that has a
semi-resolution to it. It _is_ quite the open-ended episode, so perhaps we
will make up a new episode for it in the future : )

I would have to think that Hadji is not going to release any djinni. I feel
as "Master" of all the Djinn, he also knows their fates, including when and
whom will release them. But, he is also the one with the power to cork up a
Djinni that is not "behaving" properly, like the Blue Djinn, and banish
them. The Blue Djinn was on the same island for at least 1500 years (if not
longer; we really do not know), so I strongly suspect it was Hadji that
either took revenge for Jeannie's sake, or it was requested of him by the
general Djinni 'community'. He was probably an egotistical troublemaker for
everyone, so something had to be done.

As to why both ended up on the same island, perhaps Hadji knew of this
"future" when he banished him, and that is why he ended up there. Sure,
none of this "history" was probably thought up by Sidney Sheldon since all
he wanted was a good comedy and a convenient coincidence to have both
bottles on the same island. It _is_ curious as to why Jeannie did not
notice his bottle there. I would think that all Djinn would be able to
"sense" the presence of any other Djinni whether they are corked up or not.
Yet, she never noticed, and got in her bottle anyway, probably right after
blinking Tony's capsule to fail and come down right there again : )

If you disagree with any of this, then let's discuss it. I love trying to
figure out histories of characters in the show as it helps down the line
when writing about them : )
