As I understand it, the houri are simply the women that are in Paradise
just for Muslim men. Their purpose is to give them pleasure throughout
eternity. I do not think they are all that magical, but, if you are to also
read up on some of the alternative definitions of "Paradise/Afterlife" we
will all have the equivalent of magical powers due to the nature of out
existence there. Something to look forward to, eh? : )
