To all Homicide maniacs,
I don't know if this issue has already been discussed as I have only recently
joined this group, but I am wondering if anyone has watched the 2 first
episodes of The Shield? It is the new cop drama on Tuesday nights on FX at
10pm. You know the Homicide take-off show where the guy who used to star on the
old series the "Commish" is on a steroidal rage attack doing his best impression
each week of Denzel Washington in the movie Training Day. But, you know what? I
am watching, and you know why? Because I still can't understand why they took
Homicide off the air.
Why has no other cable channel taken a chance and aired it? How pathetic is it
that Kellerman took a bit part in which he got whacked in the second episode?
Luther Mahoney is smiling in his grave. Clark Johnson did an ok job in
directing the first episode and I have to say I do enjoy the Shield somewhat,
but the "Dutch" character is just a Munch wannabe. This show is just fistful of
salt thrown on the open wound left after Homicide was ripped off the air. Thank
God for Court TV. At least it was cool to see Brody in the first episode, I
guess he beat his off season gun possession wrap. By the way did I mention.
Please bring back Homicide!!!!!!!
