I was watching an episode today where Rose was addicted to the pain
medication... She made an excuse about how it was the anniversary of
the death of her beloved cat "Fluffy"... Dorothy replied that Rose
never had cats, she was allergic...
From an earlier episode when they remember how they all met, Rose had
a cat that she loved "Mr. Peepers" and she had to move because the
landlord wouldn't let her keep it...
Two very different stories... I guess most people wouldn't see an
entire series in two weeks and might not realize this happened?
I, like you, am addicted to the Golden Girls and have been known to watch a
season in a short amount of time!! If you really pay attention you will find
these mistakes all over the place! But hey! It's the Golden Girls, and we love
them! So, who cares!!

No no, don't get me wrong, it wasn't pointing it out to be a bad
thing, just interesting... Like the next post about another
"mistake".... Mistake is probably the wrong work for them...

Unless my memory is bad (and it could be). Wasn't the person who
played "Myles Webber" introduced on the show as a completely different
person in the first season as the man who went on the cruise with
Rose? He was only on that one episode and then returned much later
as "Myles" and nobody knew him, including Rose...
No your memory is not bad. He was introduced as a character rose went
on a cruise with. I think his name was Arney????.

Hey Jason,
I didn't mean to imply that you were complaining. I hope I didn't offend
you. You are right, it is interesting. If I sat here and thought about it
awhile I could give you a list myself!! I know you love the girls, or you
wouldn't be a member of this website! The writers are wonderful, but obviously
they didn't make reference to previous shows!! Not too many shows could get
away with that!

Yeah, there are a lot of those. Like in the Mother's Day episode, Rose tells
that old lady that they still hoped to build a movie theater in St. Olaf. In
another episode, Rose says that their theater was only designed for silent
movies, and that everyone thought they were looking for a rowboat in most of
Citizen Kane. (I never got that joke, though. Never seen the movie...)

Hey, now that you mention it I remember that one... The reason it was
funny is because it was "Rosebud" in the real Citizen Kane. And I
guess the person reading lips couldn't understand it, that reference
was in the movie Citizen Kane several times.
It would be a really cool thing to see an indexed list of these
things. If anyone shares more with me I'll put up a page with
them. Would be a nice little "trivia" type of thing...

Believe me, I realize things like that all the time. Has anyone ever
noticed the exclamation point that is seen on the front door in some
episodes? Does anyone know if it means anything?--- In goldengirlsonline2@yahoogroups.com, "Jason" <jmsinternet@...> wrote:

Yeah, Bea carved that into the door before the first episode for good luck. It's
always there. But what's not on the door is the peep hole. The only time it's
there is when Sophia thinks she's going to die & Sal's coming for her in his
phedora...
