From what I read the season finale is next
week.What is Scooter's story he doesn't
seem to do any work anymore? Paul seems
to be a crafty one not to be trusted that
is for sure. Sally and her new boyfriend
seem to get along famously.Think maybe
Paul will try to do something to Adam?Hope
there is a good cliffhanger!

Hi there. I agree with Elaine that the scene with Adam & Catherine was not what
I thought it would be. I seen the interview with Mike Bullard on Open Mike and
they
made it sound so raunchy. How I wish it would have been. I'd love to see his
naked butt also but he does have a nice chest. How I would have loved to been
in Catherine's place. Heaven is missing an angel as far as he is concerned.
The season finale is next week.

I prefer short hair for myself. It's much easier to take care of. So I
vote for her to keep it.

I don't know either but (close your eyes if you haven't read a blurb in
your local weekly tv paper or haven't seen the commercial) he will get
his comeuppance this week. I've never really liked his character.

I was a little surprised that Ian took him up on the deal though. Has
he ever resorted to anything unethical/illegal before when he was having
problems?

> Adam and Catherine. Well, I saw that coming, but I don't mind. Of

I guess you didn't see Bruce Grey on "Open Mike" a couple of months ago
when he said he had a nude scene in an upcoming episode. Now I missed a
second or two after a commercial but all I saw was his chest. Not that
I have any great desire to see his bare butt but if that was the nude
scene, it was disappointing.

It's "swat your listowner" time. I swear I copied and pasted your
address into my reply about "The City" list. My evil computer put back
the "gardnerross" address all by itself. That's my story and I'm
sticking to it. <g>

*Smacks his forehead with the heel of his hand* Of course, I should have

"The City" contact me to tell me how to get on the list? I've just
given up trying to find it at the Onelist site because I don't want to

Just a few comments about the episode from last Thursday.

Boy, does anyone else think that Sally looks really striking with that
short hair? Yow! I'd almost say that she should keep it that way.

Paul Deeds--nice hat.

Just what, exactly, is up with Deeds trying to get Ian to make decidedly
questionable deals, anyway? I don't quite get what his motivations
are. At first, it sort of seemed as if he might have had sinister
motives by getting Ian in to trouble over doing something that he,
himself, had just been warned about, but, now, I just don't know.

Ah, Marty. He won in the end, after all, didn't he? But, like Grant
said, it wasn't because he was right--he just made a lucky guess. I
previously said that I thought that Marty should break even (because to
lose would have ruined the bank) so that he would have a humbling
experience; now it appears as if, even though he triumphed big-time, he
still feels humbled. I wonder what kind of Marty we'll see next week.

Adam and Catherine. Well, I saw that coming, but I don't mind. Of
course, now, this means that Adam has begun the rocky journey to
becoming Brianne's stepfather, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone!

Sally has gone out with some winners, hasn't she? Though I did like the
p.i. (Jack's friend) that she dated for awhile.

Thanks. The only thing I've seen him in is the "Highlander: The Raven"
episode but I don't remember him. :-( Might help if I could remember
what the episode was about.

"Traders" seems to be the show to be on these days. Don Francks
("Nikita"), the guy who plays "Johnathon Doors" in "Earth: Final
Conflict", Kim Stockwood (singer), Mike Bullard (talk show host,
comedian and major fan of the show - he's had most, if not all, the main
actors on his show).

I had to do some searching to find their website. It was listed as a
network in a number of satellite packages but only one page actually had
the link to it. It has some good shows. I never watched "Street Legal"
when it was, it's not on in syndication here but I think a lot of the
"Traders" actors were in it so now I want to see it.

But that was more likely due to the popularity of the show. And, of
course, you can't wait for 100 episodes if the show ends before it has
that many. :-)

After this season of "Traders" there should be about 70 so it still
needs another season and a half.

Agreed. You can't put every show with a strong female character on
Lifetime; most shows do these days. My choice for a show that Lifetime
and Women's Television Network (WTN, Canada) should air is "China
Beach".

I'm looking forward to tonight's show. For one thing I can watch it in
"real time" because "ER" is a rerun.

What do people think of Sally's new boyfriend? I like this guy even if
the way they met was bizarre (actually that whole episode could have
been written by David Kelley).

Well, I believe their website refers to themselves as a cable channel, but
as far as I know the only cable companies that are carrying it are doing so
as part of their Digital Cable package. Not all cable companies, though
(for example, Cox Communications in Southern California) -- so the only
other alternative is satellite; it's currently carried via DirectTV.

As for syndication, I shouldn't think they'd have to do too many more to
qualify -- I mean, TNT picked up the strip syndication for the 68 hours of
Due South... But I still think it was a huge mistake to put Traders on
Lifetime; I mean, it just doesn't fit into the "women's programming" they
like to feature on that channel.

We had a slow start because I started a number of lists at the same time

I keep meaning to post messages to newsgroups about the various lists
but I get enough junk email without the more I'll get from posting to

"Traders" was already taken and if you've looked for it by that name,
you know how many hits you get on the word and those lists seem to be
mostly for audio and video trading. I figured Gardner Ross would work.
(One of the lists I started today is for a new Canadian show called "The

you come up with. <g>)

A few days ago, someone asked on alt.tv.traders whether there was a "Traders"
mailing list. Then, just yesterday, someone else said that they finally found
the Onelist one, so, I guess everyone just went straight to Onelist and
subscribed. That's what I did.

I think that Marty will triumph--or, at least, break even. If Marty loses, the
implication is that that might seriously cripple the bank, even though Sally
didn't seem very worried about it. I figure that Marty will break even, so that
the bank will not suffer, but Marty will still have a humbling experience.

Well, I don't know about Michael, but it took quite a bit of digging to come up
with this list; call me dense, but it just never occurred to me to look under
GR... :) I've actually only been actively watching (and taping) Traders for a
month or so, since going satellite and happening upon it on TRIO (I am SO happy
to have Canadian programming again; we just don't get very much of it here in
San Diego!). Of course, from what I understand on the ng, this is something
like the third time around for S1, so I've had to go through and read the
synopsis's for the rest of the episodes to get vaguely up to speed...

Looking forward to the conversations; forgive me if I lurk, but unless someone
wants to yap about S1 I'm afraid I won't be good for too much input...

I read way too many murder mysteries. I hope he doesn't get any more
evil than prying into her past. Notice that in last night's episode
there were no real details about Evan. Just because he doesn't live
with her doesn't mean she abandoned him. She could have willingly given
up custody because the father was better able to provide for him.

> I admit Paul should not have slept with the client, but he was > desperate to

He didn't reply when Adam asked if his methods were ethical. What he
did wasn't illegal but it was certainly unethical. And I'm quite sure
against the rules of the organization (OSC?) that governs these things.

I think she's just being supportive. Until she stole Ian's paper and
passed it off as her own, she liked and was liked by everybody. (Most
of her colleagues have forgiven what she did. It might show the human
side of Marty but I don't think that a company would hire back somebody
who stole from it).

Marty loves Barb (though I can't see the attraction for either of them);
he wouldn't have an affair.

Why were people out of character last night? Adam being moral? I'd
think Sally would be the one who'd want to save the archeological site.
And perhaps I'm being picky but how could Adam and Jillian have gone on
a dig only a couple of years before? Even if one season doesn't equal
one year and she hasn't been dead for 2 or 3 years, I think she was sick
and confined to a wheelchair for some time before her death. What are
the chances the dig site would be wheelchair accessible?

Grant had a "normal" conversation.

Does Sally's "cancer buddy" know how to cheer people up or what? :-)

I don't think Chris will get violent with Niko. He doesn't seem the
type to hurt someone like that. I admit Paul should not have slept
with the client, but he was desperate to get the deal. People do some
out of character things when their up to the wall. Does anyone else
think Marty and Ziggy are having a connection thing happening? Maybe a
pairing at least until Marty's marriage works out? Check out the looks
and body langauge Ziggy gives Marty.

Last week I finally got to see the 2 episodes I'd taped the previous 2
weeks. And I saw last Thursday's in real time so I'm all caught up now.

Does anybody think Chris will get violent towards Niko? (Or do I have
him confused with the nasty role he played in an episode of "Nikita"?)

Should Paul have slept with the guy to get the deal? I don't think so.
No matter what his sexual orientation is.

Marty's not good at personal relationships but does have good
intentions. As romantic an idea as somebody buying me a house may be,
I'd want to be consulted. He should have talked to Barb.

I don't want to discourage discussion but I'm not going to be able to
see last night's or next week's episode before March 1 so please use
spoilers. However, I would like to know if either of these episodes are
