Because it was part of the TV show. They were too
faithful to the design of the Protector, since they
included 'The Chumpers' it makes sense they enable the
ability of the ship being detonated as well.

Yes, I think GQ captured a lot of the spirit of
Trek. I remember feeling much like when I first saw the
original series. It had that sort of magic and humor as it
had all of the elements, made fun, but didn't degrade
it. <br><br>I also remember my first convention (too

Thanks for the welcome. This will be my first
Star Trek con, and i'm too excited! Its the four
captians convention, Kirk,Picard,Sisko and Janeway. I'm
such a trekkie, I think that's why GQ makes me laugh

Hi, I am curious about what you meant with BTM. I
imagine from what you wrote that the group must be varing
from GQ. I sort of pictured it as either we do it from
the POV of the GQ universe with some portraying the
core characters and others new support crew, of course
the idea of continuing the movie a 'what if' the
actors stayed with the Thermians is a concept I had not
considered. In any case I am curious what you ment.
