First of all, humor me because no one is posting here so I might as well!

Okay, guys, here it is. I announced I was writing this short story and I was
amazed at the personal emails that started filling my box. I was really
surprised because the lists have been quiet; I think we have a lot of
lurkers. <G> You guys are out there, you're just not posting. WHY?

The entire story was written in the van, on my laptop, headphones on and
Celtic new age music playing, while my husband drove us home from Florida to
Dayton, Ohio. You have to love a guy who is willing to drive that far by
himself so his wife can write.

I was inspired to write this story for two reasons. First of all, Natalie
has been yelling in my ear, telling me that she wanted something special for
her birthday. I've tried to ignore her, but the woman is hard to ignore.
When she speaks, I listen. Honest! You have no idea the conversations we
have.<G> Yes, Gloria, I do talk to her late at night when my "Evil Twin"
surfaces. <BG>

The second reason is we just returned from a vacation in Siesta Key, Florida
where I spent my birthday, April 11th. We've been going there for over
fifteen years and love the area. This entire story takes place in Siesta Key
and Sarasota, Florida. I was really inspired on this trip to write this. I
stood on the beach and our balcony on a cold morning and became Nat; I felt
that someone was watching me. Yes, I really do get into character when I
write. Call me crazy if you want, but I call it creativity!

The restaurant does exist, but I've changed the name and located it on a
pier, in a cove, instead of the heart of Sarasota. The actual restaurant is
Alley Cat Café (Not the most dignified name; the name is very deceiving) and
it's my favorite restaurant in the entire world, so far (it's been my
favorite restaurant for over ten years). I'm still traveling so maybe
someday I'll have another one.

*****This story takes place after Last Knight, six years later. Nick
disappeared and Nat doesn't know where he is or if he's alive. A gorgeous,
tall, dark haired, dark eyed, handsome vampire by the name of Dimitri
appears in her life (in Toronto) and she immediately trusts him; he reminds
her a lot of Nick. Dimitri is falling for Nat, but knows her heart belongs
to Knight.

This is all I'm saying!!!!! I've had two friends who read this and both
told me they cried. I cried when I wrote certain scenes, laughed at others,
and there's a bit of the dark Nick that some of us love, including me! <BG>

I know I should be writing more chapters to Emotional Concert, and I am, but
Natalie demanded this story to be told. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NATALIE! I hope you
enjoy this story; it's a stand alone story and has nothing to do with
Emotional Concert.

*****This story is set to the music of My Heart Will Go On, from The
Titanic; the reason is Nat's love for Nick did go on for six years. Talk
about being faithful. <LOL>

Okay, go read it and let me know what you think! Go to my home page, scroll
down to Deborah's Forever Knight Fan Fiction, click on that link or our
favorite picture of Night In Question, Nick about to kiss Nat in front of
the fireplace.

Sincerely,
Deborah A. Hymon
