Thanks to everyone over this past year for joining and posting. I
hope you all have a wonderful New Year and I look forward to
continuing reading all your posts during 2006 and beyond! :-D

You lucky thing. I wish she'd do panto down here. Hear, hear.
Jane is of the old school of actors and actresses where they care
about the fans. She does need to be on TV more often.

Hope you all have a wonderful 2005 and thanks to everyone who joined
over the past year. And that the government sees sense and gives
Jane that Honour she deserves. :-)
Patsy
She's a nice woman. I *finally* got round to sending her a copy of
the petition sigs last month and she replied today (paying her own
postage again like once before). She said:
Many thanks Patricia - for all your hard work - I really don't think
I deserve an MBE - I have been so busy with work & my children - I
am now a grandmother! - I don't rush around doing charity work etc -
only for my church & local charities - so don't worry - I'm realy
very happy but thanks for all your hard work.

My new photo!!
Jane was really keen when this idea was first suggested 2 years ago,
even though she said herself she didn't think it would work. So I
think, as the government are gits, she's given up on getting
anything. Course she deserves one. If Julie Goodyear can get one
for 'Services to Television' when Jane worked harder for longer in
Emergency Ward 10 then Crossroads, she should have one. And look at
the crap people getting them now. Jamie Oliver for what? Tim
Henman for being a flop. The England rugby team just for winning
once. She has more then earned it.
It's a nice pic and I'll post it later in the albums.
Patsy
Anyone see Jane on this last night? Nice to see her interviewed but
it wasn't long enough! She, being one of the founding cast, should
have had more airtime. Also to discuss the 2001 series and being
killed off, which wasn't even mentioned at all!
Patsy
Can't believe it's just over 2 days away! Hope everyone's done all
their shopping done. It's crept up on me because I've been quite
unwell for a week so I'm glad I at least got everything that needed
sending off done just before. Viruses, eh?
Have a great one! :-D
Patsy
I wanted to let you all know about a new play that Jane will be
starring in at the Edinburgh Festival this year.
Called 'The Paper Piano', the piece explores the relationship
between successful actress Lenina Kane and her son Johnny.
Despite years of separation, dark fears and secret memories
still haunt them both.
Unspoken family feelings and emotions are exploded through
electrifying drama, humour and song, in this exciting new play.
The Paper Piano runs at the Hill Street Theatre, Venue 41.
Thursday 14th to Monday 25th August, 3.20pm daily.
Tickets £8.50/7.50
Fringe Box Office 0131 226 0000
Hill Street Box Office 0131 266 6522
Hope you can come!
Best wishes
Mitchell Moreno (Director)
Who's 59 today! :-)
On my Barbara Knox Group, a poll was set up asking if Jane should
join Corrie as a friend of Rita's. Only 6 people voted but 4 were a
yes and the other 2 were no in case Benny followed!
So memo to Corrie bosses - hire Jane and get her on our screens
again! :-)
Patsy
Well, 135 signatures on the petition isn't bad. Think I'll send a
copy to Jane so she can read all the lovely things people have said
about her. I know I've said it already on the Crossroads group, but
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on here as well,
especially since this is where it all started. :-)
Patsy
Many thanks to everyone who has joined over the past 12 months, as
well as to all of you who joined last year. Have a great time
tonight and I look forward to more chatting in 2003! :-)
Patsy
Well, the list is out. A slight improvement on the jokes of last
year but still nothing. For those who haven't signed the petition,
there is still 2 months left. We must do it for Jane!

Hi Tom,
Maybe it's because my brain's still half asleep (I was in Manchester
over the weekend and got back yesterday evening), but I don't quite
understand what you mean by Jill's full name. Do you mean Carlton
are right when they had her married to John Maddingham then stupidly
Adam again so soon? Or I'm right by ignoring all that rubbish?

Hi! Thanks for joining. :-)
I used to have that, but I got so mad at Carlton for messing up
Jill's history and killing her off, I removed the last two names.
Patsy
I know everyone will know about this already, so this is just a
reminder since the info will get lost on Dan's as messages increase.
Jane will be appearing on Wednesday 4th September, BBC Choice, 8.30pm.
Patsy
Forgot to mention. Jane's also doing something for a digital channel
(don't know what or which one, but my guess is BBC Choice) in
Manchester on the 4th. I'm off to Manchester on the 6th for the "Dr
Who" convention, and the BBC studio is a short walk from the Palace
Hotel - where I'm staying! :-( Maybe it's best that way. She might
think I'm following her! Still, I'm up there to have fun. I hope
whatever Jane's doing will be fun too.
Patsy
Heard from Jane, and she is all for this idea. I'll also post a
message of Dan's Group about it. So if anyone's interested, pleased
email me.
Oh, Rob. She mentioned the panto, but didn't give a date. All she
said was it's a "v.short one" and as the Fairy she's flying.
Patsy
I flicked onto ITV just after noon and saw a clip of Jill returning
to Crossroads. I wondered what it was about, and they were at Jane's
beautiful home. Shame all the other segments had to be included.
I'd have liked to have seen more of the conversion work they did on
the house, and that wonderful massive garden. It was lovely to see
Jane back on our screens. Anyone else see it?
Patsy
Well, as you'll probably have seen, they were a joke yet again. So
many people because they're either active Labour supporters, Tony's
faves or not dead just yet. So now's the time to go public with the
petition like Dan and his Bring Back Benny campaign!
Patsy
Well, they're round again over the weekend and what's the betting
Jane's not there yet again? I hope that's not true about Mick Jagger
getting a Knighthood at Tony Blair's request, because that just makes
a mockery of the whole thing if he's picking people due to his
preferences.
There's a programme on Channel 4 this Saturday (tomorrow) at 8pm
called Secrets of the Honours System, which tells you how it works,
and they try to find out what does and doesn't merit something.
Patsy
Absolutely no idea Rob. And they're stupid website is only a short
time ahead. That's when you can find it! It will probably start in
December sometime. I don't even know where it is except far too far
away.

when is it on?
No further details at present, but I'm working on it. I will post
any more info as I get it though. The present location idea is
Derbyshire, so Jane won't have to travel too far (unless she wants
to).
