Hi Jared, there's usually not much traffic on the list, but sometimes
it picks up. So who's your favorite Facts girl? Mine's Blair and I
hate Pippa and Beverly Ann. To answer your question, FOL is no longer
on the air except they used to show it on the USA Network but have now
replaced it with...AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS!! Isn't that crazy??
Yes, well, nice to have you on the list. See ya,

Did you guys know that Kim Fields is on the new Hollywood Squares this
week? I just watched it. I missed the beginning, but from what I watched,
she didn't get called on any during the game. It was probably her position
on the board, or whatever ya wanna call it. Other guests this week include
Bernadette Peters, Caroline Rhea, Penn & Teller, and of course Whoopi
Goldberg (how do you spell Whoopi anyway?)

You take the good,
You take the bad,
You take 'em both and there you'll have,
The facts of life, the facts of life.

There's a time you go and show,
You're growing now you know about
The facts of life, the facts of life.

When the world never seems,
To be livin' up to your dreams,
and suddenly you're finding out,
The facts of life are all about you,
All about you, you.

It takes a lot to get up right
When you're learning the facts of life
(Learning the facts of life)
Learning the facts of life
(learning the facts of life)
Learning the facts of life.

Hey,why'd the list suddenly cool down? I figured once I got the theme
stuck in your heads things would pick up again!

                     Sincerely,

Hey everyone!!

Cristal Conners wrote:

I liked her because whe she was funny. Yeah she might have been annoying
to some, but she she wasn't to me. I found Bev to be a nice edition to
FOL after Mrs. G left. I think if they would have tried to replace Mrs.
G with someone exactly like her it wouldn't have worked. I mean the
girls had grown by then and they didn't need another "mother".

>>>And what's with Pippa?<<<
I never really liked it at all when they added another girl to the cast.
Jo, Blair, Natalie & Tootie had a chemistry all their own and when they
tried adding someone I felt they were taking away from the girls. Does
anyone remember Meiko and that 'princess'? Those 2 only lasted about 6
episodes a piece (if even that long).

>>>Have any of you seen the one where Pippa starts a heavy metal
band? That is one of the stupidest episodes ever.<<<
Yep, I've seen it and I disagree that it was one of the stupidest ones.
I actually liked it, especially when we get a glimpse of Jo, Blair, Nat,
Tootie & Bev taking part of the band.....I can't remember who was
daydreaming it...but I thought it was funny.

>>>I hope I haven't offended anyone in my opinion,<<<
Nope you haven't offended me....everyone has their likes and dislikes
that is what makes this world such a unique place. Besides, I love
discussing my favorite show of all time.

>>>PS- Everyone should write poems about their favorite "Facts"
character, that'd be cool and funny; how can you go wrong with a combo

That sounds like a good idea....give me a day or 2 and I'll try to come
up with one. I liked your poem about Blair.

Isn't it just like television to try to capitalize on a current trend.
Pippa wasn't one of my favorite characters, but I wasn't totally turned
off by her either. BTW, does anyone have her CD?? I bought it about a
month ago and can't get enough of it. She is a country singer and she
is really good. Her cd is called Words. And she goes by Sherrie
Austin.

You didn't offend me, I don't care if anybody else likes Bev, I just know I
do. Charlotte Rae left, they had to replace her with somebody....and I
think Cloris was a good choice. I don't see her as annoying at all....now
Tootie and Natalie in those old Eastland episodes--that's annoying!! It's
too bad, cause Natalie is my favorite character...I just don't like to
watch her till at least the Edna's Edibles years.
As for Pippa, I never cared much for her, but I don't hate her either...she
was just, "there." According to Sherrie Krenn Austin (who played her),
they added Pippa because Austrailia was popular at the time (due to the
Crocidile Dundee movies) and they wanted to add a little Austrailia to the
show.

Nice poem....Blair is my second favorite (she looks great in the last
season--another reason why I like that one).

Okay, why do so many people like Beverly Ann? She's really
eccentric and annoying to me. I was so sad when Mrs. G left. Isn't
Beverly Mrs. G's siter?
And what's with Pippa? She annoyed me about as much if not as
more then Beverly. These two were made for each other. I wish they
would have focused on the 4 girls instead of even bringing in Pippa.
Have any of you seen the one where Pippa starts a heavy metal
band? That is one of the stupidest episodes ever.
I hope I haven't offended anyone in my opinion, but I'm just
wondering how so many people can like these two annoying characters?
Now some of you may ask how can I like Blair so much. Well, here's why:

Blair Warner is so great,
She's really groovy and in great shape,
She's there for her friends,
and helps in time of need,
Even though it may seem like it,
Her heart is not full of greed!

Blair Warner's so funny and witty,
This is just my little ditty.
So tell me why you like the other two,
When Blair Warner is the girl for you!

Okay, well, I just did that off the top of my head, and I
seriously apologize if I offended anyone. Talk with you all later.

                 Ciao,
                   Cristal

She looked great from the top of the head down, haha! That hair is just
TOO short...at least for my taste. Believe it or not, when I flipped past
Debt that day I saw 2 men and that Marcia Wallace lady. Then I realized
that one of the men was Jim J. Bullock (with his hair dyed)...and I about
wet myself when I realized the other "man" was Mindy!! But once I heard
that voice I knew who it was. (I hope this didn't upset any real big Mindy
fans---cause she's my favorite too.)
By the way, she didn't win....Jim J. did, but she almost did!! She just
got a little brave there at the end and said she could answer more
questions that she could (if you're familiar with the show Debt, you
probably know what I mean.)

You're not the only one who likes Beverly Ann....I do!! I think the reason
I like those last two seasons best is that (other than the girls looked
great) those are the episodes I can actually remember seeing back in the
80s. When USA started showing FOL a few years ago, I always waited for them
to get up to those episodes so I could see what all I remembered.
Anyway....as for what Mindy is doing nowadays, I saw her a few months ago
on the game show Debt during Celebrity Week. She's cut her hair really
really short and if I remember correctly, she was thinner than before.

Poor Beverly Ann - I think I am the only one that liked her. Yes, I missed
Mrs. Garrett but Beverly Ann was very funny and I think Cloris Leachman is
great. My favorite thing about her (Beverly Ann) is when she adopted Andy,
that was really nice of her to do. Does anyone out there besides me like her?
And as for my faves, Jo comes first because I am a big Nancy Mckeon fan, and
all the others are a close second. Does anyone know what each is doing now?
I know that Nancy's show got cancelled (bummer!) Kim is married and no longer
on Living Single I heard so I don't know what she's in, Lisa is married with 3
boys and retired. What's Mindy doing? Anyone know? She was great.
