Doh! Got the deadline wrong! It's actually the
25th of Feb that you have until...and by the way, we
desperately need a Carter, Lucy, Jeannie, Luka, Cleo Finch,
Deb Chen, any other nurses aside from Carol (where
are all you Malik fans?!), plus Jerry, Randi...anyone
you can think of!
Hey everyoone - long time no post people! Anyway,
just dropping a little note to invite you all to a
group that I am co founding, Ryans ER Roleplay. It's
herre on Yahoo too, so join up, it's great fun. Right
now we are looking for people to play all the ER
characters, you have till 28th Feb to send us a sample role
play for the character you want to be, then we select
who will play who. For those of you who haven't Rped
before, basically it works like one big fanfic where
different people write the different characters in their
messages. As I say, it's a lot of fun, so come along and
have a look, if nothing else!<br><br>~Triggersaurus
If anyone wants any fan fic they have written
putting up on my site i would be really happy to do it. I
need loads more. e-mail them to me
at:<br><br>CKgirls962@...<br><br>(I especially luv the Dand C ones but send
them
whateva they r)
I've had an idea! I think we should host and
organise a little vote for the best ER Fanfic page on the
Web, and I'll create an award for nominees and the
eventual winner that they can post on the site. What do ya
think? Good idea or bad?
Okay, my fanfic is currently too long (even in
short sections) to post here, so if anyone would like
the address where it's been posted, I'll send it to
the forum some other time (when I've remembered what
it is)<br>Cath
Yeah giys, vote on it, I've seen all the work that's gone into the site, and
it's great - it's in the links section of the club if you want to click on it
from there
The Lounge is sponsoring the ER Fanfic Awards. Here is the
site:<br>www.angelfire.com/tv/erregan/awards.html<br><br>please vote!! The
webmaster worked real hard on this!!!
Have just joined up here (cos of advertisement on
alt.tv.er.creative) I've written a few stories of my own which I have
posted to said news group, but if anyone wants to read
them, I can post them here too...<br>Cath
Whew, okay, I posted the banner Trigger made on
my site. I'm not sure if it'll add up to anything
significant or not, but oh well. Oh, and to the person who
wanted a link to their page (i'm too lazy right now to
see exactly who it was, it is nearly 2 am afterall),
I'll be sure to add it to my links page within the
next few.. days or so. Okay, I must sleep
now.<br><br>(<a href=http://members.tripod.com/er_fanfic/

This is a Doug Ross return fic that we clubbed
together to write, since we share the same principles in
fic writing! Here is the first part of the first fic
called Roads, please please please post or mail us
feedback - we're both listed as contacts
here.<br><br>**************************************************<br><br>Doug Ross
Return Fic<br><br>The rain slapped against
the windshield hard, forced to by the winds that blew
off the lake, as Doug drove down the Interstate. He
looked out over the lake for as long as he could without
steering into a barrier, remembering times by the lake
both when he was new to the city and when he was an
old-timer. A fresh burst of rain smacking the front of his
car brought him out of it, his eyes snapping back to
the road which was full of slow moving traffic. He
leaned over and turned the radio on, tuning it into the
local station, and nearly missed his exit.
<br>“Dammit.” He spoke aloud as he cut his speed and indicated,
trying to cut across the two other lanes and quickly
became the brunt of many car horns. He pulled off the
interstate and out of the system, finally drawing into the
city he called his hometown, even if he grew up in
Kentucky. Realising that he had no accommodation for the
night, he opened the glove compartment and pulled out an
old, crumbling A to Z, flicking through the pages
whilst keeping one eye on the road. Finally, grappling
with the rush hour traffic and an atlas on his lap
became too hard, and he pulled over into a lay-by,
finding the page he wanted. <br>“Huh. Hope it’s still
there.” He grunted as he manoeuvred back out into the
traffic, heading towards a small motel he remembered from
the days before he found an affordable apartment.
Mentally, he cursed giving up his apartment when he skipped
Chicago. Here he was, three months later, back in the city
with nowhere to live when he knew full well that his
old apartment was sitting empty for the next two
weeks, waiting for its new tenants. Squinting out of his
window, he drove into a car park and slowed by the
entrance of the building.<br>“Jolene’s Five Star Motel.
This’ll do.”<br>He threw the A to Z back onto the
passenger seat and pulled into a parking bay, switching off
the ignition. He went to the trunk and got out a
small sports bag, put it over one shoulder and went
into the motel, taking a glance back over his shoulder
at the rain coming down onto Chicago, making his
clothes and hair wet, but all the same making him feel
very much at
home.<br><br>**************************************************<br><br>Wanna
read part 2? We need feedback!
Hey' I'd love that! As for a banner, so if I create one on my photo program or
whatever, do I just mail it to you? I don't know anything about HTML, so you
may have to explain to dumb ol' me!
Okay, just a thought here, but I know someone was
talking earlier about getting the word out on this place.
Well, if someone wants to make a banner, icon, or
whatever to promote the site, I'd be more than willing to
be kind of a sponsor or something to that effect. I
get a decent amount of hits on my site and have a
pretty loyal mailing list. So? Any thoughts? Opposed?
Agree?<br><br>Oh, and I sent out a little special to my mailing
list group promoting this place. I dunno if anyone
actually even reads them though *l*<br>-sbj
Agreed. Very unrealistic with the whole Tatania
still being alive and healthy, and Doug finding his
son, etc. The fics I really liked were the Second
Chances series. I liked the idea behind that series, very
different. It wasn't the same old plot. Ah, well I'm off to
surf around. The joys of having a snow day!-sbj
Yeah, Robin's fics were the first ones I read
too, with the exception of Jill's. They are really
good, if a little unrealistic, but that's what
imagination is for, right?! By the way, if you aren't on it
already, a great place to keep ahead of fanfic stuff is
the alt.tv.er.creative newsgroup, people post their
new fics there and talk everyday about stuff they've
read as well. Go to the alt.tv.er site and join from
there.
Have any of you guys read Robin Jackson's
fanfics? The used to include Tatiana (spelling on that
one?), Scott (Doug's son), Marc, and the triplets?
Anyway, this was one of the first fanfics I read (the
first being Courtney's great series... too bad she
stopped). Anyway, she recently had the old site back up
that published her fanfic. I just though, for all you
D/C fans, it'd be a reading wonderland. The address
is: <a href=http://www.members.tripod.com/gcfanfics/
target=new>http://www.members.tripod.com/gcfanfics/</a> I think.
Now, I know some of you out there have websites, and I was wondering if you
could in any way advertise this club for me, to get some more members in? It
would be great if you could.
