Muslim ‘religious’ education and culture, their through their curricula and anti-worldism, became in recent centuries increasingly takhsisiyyah (restricted). ‘Modern’ secular and ‘mixed’ systems also marginalize Islam, making it irrelevant in mankind’s quest for the best in the two worlds. Islam does and must cover every discipline and all areas of the ‘two cultures’, ideological and technological. “… Whoever does not judge by what God has revealed, they are wrong-doers… evil-doers… Rejectors/non-Muslims ( zalimuun, fasiquun, kafiruun, Quran 5:47, 45, 44 ). Ijtihad is Islamic rationalism and
modernization in the light of the Quran and the “good example” presented in the Sayings and Life of Prophet Muhammad and the Early Centuries in the al-Kharaj and al-Amwal books. Islamization is a duty/fard and an urgent necessity for universal welfare (al-maslahah al-kaffah) since the existing systems have made Muslims incapable of promoting Islam, life, reason, posterity, wealth and honor (al-deen, hayaat, `aql, nasal, maal, `ird). Islam is din al-haq, ‘the system of truth’. Hence Islamization assimilates the truths of all systems, including the secular which is, historically and in modern times, “partial Islamization”.
The methodology for Islamization must be based on the Prophet’s Saying, al-`ilm bit-ta`allum, “Knowledge is by Self-Learning". Muslims must pursue it through parallel Self-Studies of Islamic discipline-oriented books and journals, and gradually institutionalize it in all schools and universities through Independent Study Courses, a Second Major or Minor, and new Courses on demand by students. Traditional 'Islamic' and Muslim "mixed" education systems should be early models for ‘total Islamization’, as-silm al-kaffah. Muslims must promote and utilize the secular and
‘mixed’ education systems world wide, in cooperation with non-Muslims, through freedom of thought, ethnicity, multi-culturalism, and Quranic Arabic language. Such Courses and students’ research for Term Papers, and Master’s and Ph.D. programs, must be used for Islamic and assimilative studies in every discipline.
