Wouldn't it be easier for you to just simply ban the member who's sending
the annoying spams? I'm doing that on my lists when I get spammers on them.

I've put the group in moderated mode, so all postings have to be approved by
me before they get sent on to group members. This should stop the spam, but
it will delay regular posts while they wait for approval.
