Would this series be improved with the following changes:

1) Planet G889 is an Earth-like planet having 2 moons and in a 221-
Earthday orbit of the star "Xi Boötis A" and at a distance of 0.70
Astronomical Units from it. "Xi Boötis A" is a yellow-orange main
sequence dwarf star of spectral and luminosity type G8 Ve. It may
have 90 to 94 percent (+/- 20 percent) of Sol's mass and 89 percent
of its diameter, and about 49 percent of its luminosity. Also known
as Ksi Boötis, this possible triple star system (definite binary star
system) is located about 21.8 light-years (ly) away from our Sun,
Sol. It lies in the southeastern corner (14:51:23.38+19:06:01.66,
ICRS 2000.0) of Constellation Boötes, the Herdsman or Bear Driver --
east of Arcturus (Alpha Boötis) and northeast of Omicron, Pi1, and
Zeta Boötis. Useful star catalogue numbers for the Xi Boötis A
include: Xi or Chi or Ksi Boo, 37 Boo, HR 5544, Gl 566 A, Hip 72659,
HD 131156, BD+19 2870, SAO 101250, Struve 1888 A, and ADS 9413 A.
Stars Xi Boötis 'A' and Xi Boötis 'B' are separated by an "average
distance" of about 33.6 AUs. They move in an elliptical orbit that
takes about 151.6 years to complete, travelling as close as 16.5 AUs
and as far away as 50.7 AUs. Star info from:
http://www.solstation.com/index.html.

2) Re-design the Eden Advance ship from an all-inclusive transport
ship, to a simple disposable structure uniting several large planet-
landing saucer-shaped craft into a common inter-stellar transport
framework. Each saucer containing 2 or 3 families in metabolic-
suspension tubes for the 22-year (near light-speed) trip, labor
robots, supplies, and planet-use vehicles including a mini-submarine
('Proteus' from movie "Fantastic Voyage") to explore the underseas.

3) Landing saucer ships to each be 150-foot diameter, hydrogen-fusion
powered, reverse-gravity field motive enabled, augmented by chemical
reaction-thruster maneuvering ports. Including 3 decks. Upper deck:
flight control. Middle deck: living quarters ("Star Trek" style crew
cabins), food galley, science laboratories, medical facilities,
suspension tubes and supplies storerooms. Lower deck: power-reactor,
flight engine, landing legs, planet-vehicle storage bays, retractable
air-lock enclosed to-ground-level elevator, and machine shops. Each
saucer is equiped with a virtual personality simulator in the command
computer system which can be altered to suit each user. Computer on-
line library contains all Earth knowledge and works of art.

4) On arrival at G889, the landing saucers are intended to disperse
to landing sites which are widely seperated across the planets entire
surface.

5) Remove the sub-plot component of the Earth's ongoing corporate
sabotage. And limit communication with Earth to conventional radio
light-speed only. Ie: 21.8-years time delay per message.

6) Remove the Morgan Martin (whining, trouble making) character,
either from the beginning or soon afterwards.

7) Remove the plot element of planet G889 having been a criminal
dump site. No other humans to be encountered on planet in the series,
but those of the initial Advance ship landing parties.

8) Remove the native Terrians ability to 'pop-up' out of the dirt
(too stupid). Limit them to movement through a vast planet-wide
natural cavern system.

9) Add more G889 natural threats like dinosaur-sized CGI wildlife,
and servere weather phonomona.

10) Add geo-stationary satellites deployed in planet orbit by the
Advance ship, to provide the GPS data, weather monitoring, and
communications relay to the Earth settlers on the planet surface.

11) Settlers taking along frozen Earth lifeforms (in dna or embryo
form) to introduce to the G889 planet to provide Earth food and
enviornments.

12) Replace the 'TransRover' with the 'Chariot' of "Lost In Space" TV
Series.

13) Replace 'Zero' robot with 'B9' robot of "Lost In Space" TV Series
and 'Robby' robot of movie "Forbidden Planet".

14) Re-direct the over-all series plot-arc to be less about the kid
character's growing problems and more about the adult's exploration
and survival against the everyday unknowns of this new alien planet.

15) Earth settlers finding abandoned city remains of an ancient
technologicly advanced non-human civilization in underground and
undersea locations. Some equipment still functional, but the Terrians
fear it and do not know it's creators.
