Hello. This is Kay, Nancy Kersey's best friend and I live with her. Forgive me
if you receive this twice as I am going through Nancy's online email address
list on this screen name and her screen name redceltt. If you are on both lists
you will probably get this twice.

As you probably know, Nancy has been sick for the past week with what was
originally called a bad cold then after a trip to the emergency room called
"walking pneumonia." She was given antibotics and seemed to respond well for
awhile. However the inflammation in her lungs and the overall congestion in her
chest got worse (seems to get worse in the evening hours) with the result we had
to make another trip to the hospital Friday night into Saturday morning for
another antibiotic and treatment. Nancy had a bad reaction to that antibotic and
we just returned from a trip to the hospital. (3:50 a.m. Sunday morning).
Nancy's new insurance plan does not start until December 1st and she won't stay
IN the hospital longer than a few hours long enough to get stablized.

It's been very stressful because Nancy has been given three different diagnosis
as to what the problem is. Her regular doctor is away for several weeks and has
been available over the phone. She sees another doctor on Monday. The one thing
that is certain is that her lungs are badly inflammed which makes breathing
difficult and painful. She is very congested. She has been given something for
pain and to make her sleep which she has been doing when we are not in the car
on the way to the hospital.

I am notifying you of all this because it appears that Nancy will be out of
commission for at least another week with this thing, whatever it really is. I
know that Nancy always has something going on and that is the reason I am
letting you know about this situation in the event you are trying to reach her
via email and do not receive any answer. This is why. She does get up and do
some stuff during the day but has been advised to not do anything and rest. This
is difficult for her of course as she is not the stay still type of person.

Please keep good thoughts for her as this could wind up being an infection in
her lungs. If anything significantly changes I will let you know. I wanted you
to know what was going on in case you expect to hear from her and don't.
