at DACU we value our regular visitors and especially our subscribers to this
group and mailing list. That's why we're asking for your feedback on a new
feature we're thinking of implementing across the picture galleries on the site.

A test page at
http://www.donnaair.co.uk/pictures/maxim/donna-air-maxim-pictures.htm shows this
in action - all we've done is replace the text links at the left with
thumbnails. This allows the full-size images to be loaded when you first open
the page, and should eliminate any delays when moving from one photo to the
next.

If any of you have a spare moment, please take a look and, if you encounter any
problems or have any feedback, email tech@... and let us know what
you think. If we get good feedback, we'll roll the new-style galleries out
across the rest of the site.

Hey all,

thanks to all of you who tuned in for Donna's appearance on Something For The
Weekend on Sunday morning. We're guessing there were a few of you, as we had our
busiest ever day at donnaair.co.uk.

A total of 378 people visited the site over the course of the day - that's 378
unique users, it doesn't count people twice just because they looked at two
pages etc.

It's great that Donna's still gaining as much interest as she did back in her
heyday in 2001 - when we recorded our busiest ever whole-month statistics, also
in May.

The Geordie starlet should be on our screens again soon - more details for you
when we get them - so we'll continue to bring you the content you want on the
website and try to cater for any future surges in traffic that her appearances
bring!

First, Donna's been typically on-the-ball by issuing swine flu guidance before

Second, the amount of spam passing through this group recently has been annoying
everyone, me included. So, we're moving to a moderated system - I will
personally approve each message that gets sent through to you. It will most
likely mean that you only receive updates from me in future, as there's not that
much other group activity, but I'll still continue to pass through any
legitimate messages from group members too.

Finally, you may not notice it on the site but the pictures section has been
updated - there are new photos on the Maxim page in particular, but feel free to
check out all the galleries via the new index page at

Hey Garg,

you're right, there has been too much spam lately. Sadly for us the
only options are to only let group members post, make all posts need
to be approved by a moderator or just let the spam in and delete it
later.

So far we've gone for the last option to allow all our friends to
post to the group whether they choose to join or not, we're keeping
an eye on the spam level though and are seriously thinking of moving
to a members-only situation.

If anyone has any thoughts either way please let us know - this group
exists to serve its members.

Another quick update for any of you keeping track of the updates
we're currently making to the site.

In the latest round of updates, the About Donna page has been given
an overhaul with a few highlights of her career so far - it also
seemed a good place to mention her charity work that we haven't been
able to work in to the site elsewhere as yet.

maintaining a html version too as some of the articles link to it,
once everything's updated though there should be no need to keep the

Just a quickie today guys, but the 50 Ways to Tease Your Lover entry
has been moved over to the new xml design.

Modifications include an animated version of the 50 Ways credits now
gracing the page, as well as a complete list of the 50 tips which were
given in the programme.

Hi all,

just a quick update to say we have switched hosting providers and now
have full access to update the site again - at last!

As such, a little late for the February 18th premiere, a new section
devoted to Donna's new movie Bad Day has gone live.

The xml format is something we're trialling at the moment and may
well roll out across the whole site if it proves a success.

Also this month, look out for Donna in Maxim - the covergirl is
Mischa Barton and the magazine has just gone through a bit of a
rebrand so might not look quite like you remember. We're struggling
to find it at all so far!

Finally, on March 25th Donna appears as a guest in Hotel Babylon,
it's episode 6 in the current series but exact times and dates are
hard to provide in these days of digital TV - anyone with a decent
internet connection might prefer just to watch it on the BBC iPlayer
any time over the following week.

I've switched files back on now, and there's still about 90Mb of
storage left as far as I can tell, so feel free to upload pics etc -
I'll see if I can get a folder created just for you.

Interestingly, my name's actually BobbLe with an L, not Bobbie - but
Donna made the same mistake when she wrote to me, so you're in good
company! And it's mostly only a nickname, so no worries there.

Hope the pic posting works, it would be good to get a bit of

So it's Happy 28th Birthday to Donna today, and courtesy of Mystic
Meg and the News of the World, we have a tarot reading which goes
like this...

Well the stuff towards the end is fairly intriguing, but probably
won't come true. As for the rest...

Donna's charity work is well documented, including roles with <a
href="http://www.donnaair.co.uk/news/childrenne.htm">Children
Northeast</a>, and promoting <a
href="http://www.donnaair.co.uk/news/271106.htm">organic and
Fairtrade food</a>. She's also done work for Mencap - with all of
this, and the Soil Association's Organic Fortnight coming around
again, charity success is more than likely for Donna in the near
future.

As for the 'gritty acting role', any half-decent Donnabe will spot
the link with Bad Day, her upcoming movie. What's more, the News of
the World itself has reported on the film a couple of times - see
their <a href="http://www.donnaair.co.uk/news/111206.htm">interview
with a Bad Day insider</a> and our exclusive screen test shot of
Donna to go alongside it.

So all in all, a bit of a mixed bag - which is perfect for us
because, while we'd never admit to believing in Tarot, it wouldn't
be fair to dismiss it either!

all the best for the coming year, whatever it may hold.

Hi guys,

you may have read the articles in the tabloids stating that Donna
and Damian have separated. We've had no direct confirmation of this
here at DACU, although there does seem a good chance that it is true.

It is perhaps worth bearing in mind that many of the media sources
reporting the split are the same news providers which have been
referring to Damian as Donna's husband for the past three years, so
accuracy may not be high on the agenda.

Until we do receive confirmation - and at what may be a difficult
time for all concerned if the split has occurred - we will not be
providing too heavy coverage of the topic itself.

However, we know what many of you like - the pictures section of
DACU remains the most popular area of the site - so for those of you
who didn't realise, the pictures of Donna in a corset which featured
on page 3 of Sunday's News of the World are not, as the publication
suggested, pictures of her trying to bag a new man, but are actually
the same images from celebritypictures.com which accompanied the
newspaper's interview with a source from the set of Donna's new
movie, Bad Day.

The photos do not appear on celebritypictures.com's index of Donna
Air images, but are still on the article we posted when they first

those of you who want to take a fresh look.

Newcastle is in danger of not making it on to the new Monopoly Here
and Now board.

There are ten days left before voting closes, so if you care enough
to keep Donna and her home city on the map, you can vote at

One vote per person per day, so you could all still contribute
double figures to the total - only a few hundred votes are keeping
Newcastle ahead of Manchester, and Manc's got a whole bunch of
