While our own pictures of Donna are scaled to fit on screen and to allow for fast downloading, at DACU we understand the desire for high-resolution images, to use as desktop backgrounds, home-made posters etc. So we've found a couple of the best places online for free photos of the Geordie starlet - and no, we're not on commission for this!
Probably the best site is www.celebritypictures.com - you may recognise the name, they provided the rather nice pics used by the News of the World in their article about Donna's upcoming movie Bad Day. On their own site, they have a decent collection of photos of Donna, many of which are at quite impressive resolution. The Sony Radio Academy Awards shots at the top seem to have come straight from the photographer's digital camera, while the entire third row (Donna in leather, some of which are in black and white) also delivers the goods.
Our favourite shots on the page include the pics from the Sunday Express magazine, in which Donna appears to have glued her hand to her head (nice cleavage in the cover shot though!), and a welcome appearance of the soapy carwashing pic which, while it so often appears with a page fold down the middle, is uninterrupted here. Still looking for a good excuse to use that one on the donnaair.co.uk site!
Another good source of images of all celebs is theplace.ru - but it can require a bit of detective work as the site is in Russian! Luckily celebs are named in English on the vast archive page, and Donna's own section is at http://www.theplace.ru/archive/gallery.php?id=849.
While the selection is fairly limited and many of the images have appeared in magazines over the years, the cover photo from the Mail on Sunday's You magazine has always been among our favourites as Donna just looks so damn pretty in it!
So hopefully we've provided you with a few higher resolution images to quench your thirst - but please do keep coming back to DACU for the most complete referenced source of images of Donna online, and if you have any requests for new pictures to be added (we do sometimes miss appearances in Sunday papers etc) drop us a line at requests@... and we'll get on the trail of the relevant publication!
Best wishes, and don't forget to put your clocks forwards!
Bobble Bardsley.
