I wouldn't trust wiki, it's not that regulated.
Most, if not all of it, is unsubstantiated rumors someone makes up.
Unless the content is verified or official, it doesn't mean anything.
As for dvds, I don't know about region 1, but the first season has been released
in my country (Australia), so I would expect it to be available in the American
region too.
