Hello, <br>yeah this club kicks major butt! I'm
so glad there is a Degrassi club as the show is
great, even in reruns! Oh well! Anyway yeah Wheels is
the best ever and that episode with him in his
underwear, at the sleepover at Snakes house was outta this
world! :) Thanks again for this club and I'll have to
talk to you later for sure! bye! <br>Amy
Damnit! I can't believe I missed that episode
yesterday! Oh well, its not like I've seen it before! lol
Oh, and does anybody understand what the hell
broomhead means? I mean they say it a lot on the show, any
my bro and I can't help but laugh at them when they
do, its so funny! Well great show!
personally, if i was 14 and 2 cops came to my
door, i wouldn't openly admit that not only did i do
illegal drugs the night before, but sold it to someone
who jumped off a bridge and is now in a coma. i'm not
saying that denying it is morally correct but i can
understand where luke is coming from. <br><br>jennie
Just yesterday they had the episode where he
takes acid. It was also the one where Whells runs away
to be with his dad and his dad just ends up not even
wanting him. Poor guy (wheels)!<br><br>I really hate Luke
in this episode because he really denied ever taking
that acid. He was all "He doesn't do that stuff. I
don't know anyone who does that stuff." Annoying!!
Wow someone actually joined my club :o)<br>I
really loved Degrassi. I washed right from Degrassi Kids
when everyone was actually different characters all
the way to School's out. My favourite characters was
wheels I know he didn't turn out to be the nicest person
but I always seemed to have a soft spot for him. The
interesting question is : Do you still think he would have
turned out the way he did if his parents hadn't died.
I'm not so sure it would have changed things an awful
lot. Maybe just lessene the degree to which he
changed. Anyway I'm glad you guys have joined and now all
that is left is for someone out there in tv land to
put the show back on here in Australia (though I'm
not sure anyone has the rights
anymore)<br><br>Cya<br>Nik
yah you're right.. if i was in spike's position,
i more than likely would hate shane. a lot. shane
was still trying to help her out (with the exception
of the GOURMET SCUM concert deal) to the best of his
abilities, so i think he gets a few points for that. oh
well.<br><br>jenn
hello, yup, Degrassi Jr High is on at 4:00 and
4:30 every week day on CBC, I missed it today cause
class ran late, but I usually catch it, even if it is a
repeat, its still a damn good show! I'm not sure if they
are going to air the high school episodes later, I do
hope so though, cause Wheels just gets better and
better looking! lol
This is freakin' outstanding! The club has really
taken off lately since Degrassi has been back on the
air. If only the club founder came back to visit. She
probably gave up home. It took almost a year for someone
to follow up on her first post. <br><br>Long live
Degrassi!
Is Degrassi on every weekday at 4:00? Also, does anyone know if they are
planning on showing Degrassi High after they're done with Junior High? That'd
be amazing!
Does anyone remember when Shane overdoses on acid
and almost dies? Again, a smooth move from the son of
a minister. When he comes back to school he tries
to ask Spike out again. When she says 'no', he says
the famous lines (well, me and my friends liked them
and used them to death), "You're a stupid jerk...You
should be kicked in the head!" Then she agrees to go out
for a coffee or something like that.<br><br>Moral of
this story: Don't do lots of drugs, then try to get
your ex-girlfriend back, with whom you had a baby
with.
I think that if this happened to anyone at this
age (they were 13, weren't they?), they're not going
to exactly love the person they had the baby with.
Who can honestly say that they experienced love when
they were that age? I think in that situation there's
always going to be hard feelings on both sides. I also
agree that Shane was a bit of a jerk when he went to
that concert instead of giving the money to Spike. But
then still, they were sooooo young...and
immature.<br><br>Moral of this story: Don't have babies when you're 13!
Hello, <br>In answer to your questions:<br>I
believe Claude doesn't come till High School, but then
again I may be wrong, and of course he's the one who
shoots himself! Dumbass! :(<br>And secondly, yes Shane
is the name of Spike's baby's father (the baby is
Emma I believe, again I may be wrong), and she is mean
to him cause he doesn't really support her that
much, and in a JR high episode that was on just
yesterday, she didn't get the payment from him cause he
wanted to see a dumb concert with his pals! What an
ass!I mean wouldn't you be pissed off too? Luckily, her
mom babysat and she was allowed to, but still that
does not make up for what he did! <br>And the
Spike/Shane saga continues.............
hey, yeah it is hard to find it, that I remember,
it has only been on tv twice, and both times I lost
the damn tapes, or my idiotic family taped over it!
But if you can get a copy from your friend, I'd be
happy to pay, just as long as it is not too high! That
really is one of the best movies I have seen, even for a
Canadian tv show, and I loved it, except for the part with
Wheels at the end (won't spoil it for the one who didn't
see it) The shows are great too, and my bro and I are
addicted to watching the JR High reruns every weekday on
CBC now! lol Oh well, great show, and I hope another
reninoun is in the works!
hey - when does claude come on degrassi? is it
during junior high or high school? <br><br>another
thing, why is spike so mean to shane (is that his name?
the father of her baby)? i mean, he never did
anything horrible to her and he was always willing to help
her out.. heck - he even paid child support. that's
more than what most guys are willing to do. that just
makes me mad.<br><br>jennie
I've seen it twice. I've been looking in the
public libraries for it with no luck. I thought if
anyone, they'd have it. I think you can order it from
another hardcore Degrassi fan - he makes copies of it.
I'll look for his e-mail address. He only charges for
the cost of the tape and shipping. I'll get back to
you.
has anyone here seen this movie (school's out)? if so, did you like it?<br>i
haven't seen it but from what i've read, i don't think i want to see it
:><br><br>jennie
pavement, beck & cake are great :> you have
good taste in music hehe<br>i was in toronto in 94,
when i first saw much music and i loved it so much.. i
saw 2 killjoys videos and a radiohead video, i was in
heaven. mtv mostly shows just crap like britney spears &
backstreet boys. i don't think it's just good canadian music
that's nonexistant for the past few years (with the
exception of sloan.. well their 2 new albums are horrible
so i guess you're right there) but it's
alterna/rock/whateveryouwanttocallit music *in general* that's going down the
tubes.
i've turned to rap & techno now becos rock is just not
doing anything for me anymore. so now i'm all nostalgic
for the old, good stuff and i feel like i'm getting
old even though i'm only 18 - well i'll be 19 on
saturday but whatever.<br><br>ANYWAYS, lol, yah that
episode where joey was selling the drugs was hilarious. i
hope CBC doesn't stop showing the episodes after
junior high, i want to see the whole degrassi high
series too becos i've only seen a few of those
episodes.<br><br>i was thinking today, i like degrassi a lot better
than 90210 becos it's more realistic. on 90210,
everyone has been addicted to something, pregnant, had
amnesia, killed someone... but degrassi is more
down-to-earth.<br><br>jennie*
I actually saw snake on Jono...! This one girl
was scared of snakes and they brought out the huge
basket and the guy played his flute thingy...and out
popped SNAKE. It was cool....he pretty much looks the
same, though!<br><br>P.S. Check out the photos that I
posted...that oughta take you down memory lane! *Smile*
wow.......I can't beleive there's a club on Degrassi. I loved Degrassi JR and
HIGH and even the one where they were kids...I think it was Degrassi Street or
something!!
I listen to lots of those bands plus many other
Canadian bands. I also listen to a few bands from your
country (Ben Folds Five, Dave Matthews Band, Pavement,
Beck, Cake, etc.). I agree that Much Music is trying to
be more and more like MTV. They still feature some
small bands, but not as much as they used to. This is
why I no longer have cable TV. Okay, that's not why.
It's because I need to be studying instead of watching
the Simpsons 6 times a day. I've been pretty
disappointed with the whole music situation lately, more
specifically the Canadian scene. It's been nearly nonexistent
or very poor the last few years. It's too bad.
<br><br>As for my favorite Degrassi episode. I agree it's a
tough question. I think the funniest one would be when
Joey was selling those vitamins as drugs and the girls
were pretending to be high. Hilarious. I also like the
one where the zit remedy was making the video.
Classic Degrassi.<br><br>I'll stop my rant
now.<br><br>Joe.
hmm.. my favorite episode.. i'm not sure. i don't
remember many details about the entire series, but my
favorite out of the episodes they've been showing on CBC
would have to be .. lol i didn't realize this would be
such a hard question.<br>umm geez.. i love them all
but i really liked the episode(s) where wheel's
parents died, i got a lil misty-eyed hehe. <br><br>i like
when spike meets patrick too :> i used to have a
huge crush on patrick.<br><br>to answer your other
question, no i don't watch much canadian tv, the only
canadian shows i've ever seen and liked are jonovision,
street cents, kids in the hall & degrassi .. we only get
CBC here in michigan. i wish we got much music
though, but i was in toronto in august and it seems like
it's kinda trying too hard to be mtv now. <br><br>i
do, however, listen to a *lot* of canadian music
like: hayden, sloan, eric's trip, treble charger,
tragically hip, thrush hermit, blinker the star, 24 gone,
old our lady peace stuff, the odds.. okie i'll end
the list here cos it could go on
forever.<br><br>jennie :>
Someone to talk to about Degrassi! My favorite
character is Snake. Although many of the others aren't that
far behind. What's your favorite episode? I'm from
Canada and I've never spotted an actor/actress from
Degrassi. I wish I saw that Jonovision. Do you watch much
Canadian TV?
hey kids, <br>i was watching jonovision last week
(thursday i think?) and i don't remember what the topic was
now but i was only half paying attention. before i
left to go pick out a pumpkin for halloween i was
watching it while i tied my shoes. ANYWAY, there was a
girl on there who was afraid of snakes.. they brought
out a rubber snake haha, then rolled out this huge
snake-charming type basket and all of a sudden the degrassi
theme song comes on. i was like huh?! did CBC mess up
and they're playing the show again? then they show
all these lil clips of snake and BAM he jumped out of
the basket. i was so excited lol it made my week. he
looks pretty much the same, except older.<br><br>see -
i don't live in canada so my degrassi cast
spottings are nonexistant. <br><br>jennie
my fav character would have to be either liz or
spike. it's a bit of a stretch, but i can relate to them
the most. <br>all of the actors on the show are
excellent and portray very believable characters. it's
strange becos child actors are usually pretty cheesy
:><br>jennie
heyhey - i'm new to the club..<br>i know what you
mean, i noticed that it was back on a few weeks ago and
i'm seriously addicted to it now. back in 94-95 when
cbc showed reruns, i was only a casual fan. now i
find myself humming the zit rememdy song around the
house constantly. i'm a big fan of 90210 and i loved
that show to death but it is NOTHING compared to
degrassi!<br><br>jennie
Hello everyone!<br><br>I'm new to this club. It
seems not many people talk here. Hmmmm.... We need
something to talk about. <br><br>I got it! Who's your
favorite character and why?<br><br>Me? I'd have to say
Snake. I can see myself being most like him. Tall, a
little shy with the ladies....heh heh! Yup, that's
me.<br><br>I've said too much! Geez...
