Good and evil are pitted against each other in a series set in the lawless town of Deadwood, executively produced by David Milch from "NYPD Blue." The tale begins in 1876 after Custer's Last Stand at Little Big Horn.
The western drama "Deadwood" stars Timothy Olyphant ("Go" and "Gone in Sixty Seconds") as Seth Bullock, a former marshal turned merchant, who comes to Deadwood to set up a hardware and mercantile company; Ian McShane ("Sexy Beast," "War and Remembrance") as Al Swearengen, the corrupt, brutal owner of the saloon and brothel; Molly Parker (HBO's "Six Feet Under," "Waking the Dead") as Alma Garret, a New York society woman who moves to Deadwood with her husband to seek her own idea of adventure; and Keith Carradine ("Nashville," "Pretty Baby") as legendary six-shooter Wild Bill Hickok.
