"Redneck Country"? Hey, you're getting personal. If I could get
the hound dogs off the porch so I could get to the pickup, I'd drive
up there and punch you in the nose.

(That's a maneuver I learned from Jason Veritek. He plays for the
Boston Rednecks. I mean Red SOCKS.)

Did anyone see last night show. Rosie Perez wah great, especially
when she was telling the story of the spitting actor.

I hope Paul's father get well soon. I miss him on the show. Anton is
great on the show, but there something missing when Paul isn't
there.

I also wish they get rid of the grinder girl. I know that's not
going to happen anytime soon.

Thanks for of the comment on Oprah. Some of them I do agree.

Former President Bill Clinton will be on the late show. Boy that's

I agree with Dave, I don't He watch his show.

I remember when (can't think of his name) did appear on the show, Dave was
very cordial to him. The only thing I remember about Dave's comments on it
(the film) was that "that baseball thing wasn't really like that" Which of
course leads me to believe that yes Dave prolly DID do whacky stuff like that
at
home as stress relief.

I eas lucky to catch the phone call the other nite when he referred to leno
as a pinhead. My son and I laughed like hell...

I remember Gerard being a "guest" once (meaning he sat down in the chair
next to Dave) and talking about his love for the comic strip The Family
Circus saying he saved every strip and was reading some of his
favorites. It was a strange bit.

Btw Dax Shepard is an actor who appeared on two episodes of Bonnie
Hunt's TV show this seaso. He was absolutely hilarious and stole the
episodes. I'm curious to know what new project he's coming on to
promote.

Then Dave explained the "bumping" of the comedian and said something
like "somebody talked too long". Dave rules. Anton rules. Paul rules.
(Hope everything is alright, Paul).

I've been laughing a lot this week.

Are you talking about the actor who played him? Maybe it's just me,
but I thought he was bumped and never invited back again, which led
people to believe that it was intentional bumping. Anyway, if that's
the case I completely missed it.

Dax Sheppard is also better known to some people as the guy from
Punk'd. He's been on before... when Dave had the shingles. I think
he's promoting that river-rafting-camping(?) movie with Seth Green.

Dave went one better. He scheduled the actor who played him in the
movie to be on his show.... then he BUMPED HIM!

yes!!! that's it... what I was asking about in a previous post...
thanks!! That was great! You could see that Dave is upset as I am
about that amateur Leno taking over Dave's rightful throne as host of
the Tonight Show. I'm pretty sure that Dave would still rather be
hosting the Tonight Show on NBC. He's the rightful heir to Carson.
Of course, the fact of the matter is that anyone with half a brain
knows that Dave is Carson's heir anyway. They also know where Dave
belongs and where some amateur does not belong.

Good! that makes the 3 of us! I'm glad I'm not alone in this.. the
way I am about how boring the pat and kenny show is... it WAS funny
the first 10 times I saw it, HONESTLY!! Even when one of them
says, "You go girl"!! But, for me, the joke is over already.

You are 100% correct that Dave expects his guests to really be
prepared... with SOMETHING of interest!

Rosie Perez KILLED last night! Dave LOVES someone just like her!

I agree with this totally. It IS a great tribute to the great
Carson. And Paul is great doing Carnac. It's truly a trip down
memory lane.

Ya know, Paul could have his own late night talk show himself. He is
very steeped in the comedic history of late night. His I.Q. must be
way up there! As is Dave's!

The real pain he suffered from is post herpetic neuralgia. He
mentioned that to Regis one night, in fact. My grandfather had
that... it's written up that that pain is 100 times worse than child
birth. Look it up if you don't believe me. And dave was on
Neurontin while doing the show with this pain! UNBELIEVABLE! Paul
mentioned the Neurontin one night, too.

What bothers me most about the oprah show is when they do close ups
of certain people in the audience. They'll always show a face of
someone who you get the feeling would kill themself for oprah, or who
is looking at oprah like she's the second coming of christ.

Having said that, I do think Oprah is extremely talented at having
the kind of show she has.
