was Kilborn Really, Really glad to be on with
Dave last night? Don't ask me how(or why) I noticed
it, but it looked for all the world like Craiggers
popped a couple "Viagra" before he came out. When he sat
down & uncrossed his legs, the strain on his flyzip
was "profound". Maybe he was just excited by the
"Survivor" chick who preseded him, as she was doing an
imatation of Jennifer Lopez at the Oscars.

This from Army Archerd's column
today:<br>Methinks they protesteth too much: TV Guide quotes David
Letterman (news - Y! TV)'s bosses, pals,<br> etc. on their
opinions of his irreverence. CBS president Les Moonves who
has been a regular ``target''<br> of Dave's said, ``I
have never been mad at Dave Letterman in my life, and
this feud was totally<br> overblown.''<br><br>
Letterman carried on a campaign after Moonves' meeting with
Castro; Letterman placed his boss on a<br> list of 10 --
and had an actor play him ``as a bit of a dope.''
Moonves tells me, ``It's part of the game.''<br><br>My
question is, if Les was never mad, how can there be a feud
to "overblow"? BTW, I thought that was really Les in
those sketches. Damm! ;0)

I thought that was hilarious last night. I think when Biff does any of those
sports things (NBA, Super Bowl, Baseball, etc.), they are some of the funniest
things on the show.

Hey everyone. Did anyone else notice how Craig Kilborn seemed to take offence to
being called "pretty boy" by dave the other night? I thought it was a funny way
to introduce him.

He certainly made a point not to call him that
when he was reintroduced. WHEN I have seen Kilby's
show, he seems to like to primp and preen and strut in
front of the camera. Lots of winking, closeups and hair
shots. Now, I guess he wants to be taken as a serious
wit.

do dennis miller, which means i would rather look
into the bottom of my shoe than watch either of these
clowns. sorry if i have insulted anyone in the clown
business.

Compared to Dave, Craiggers IS a "pretty-boy", but as for "serious wit", I'd say
Kilby runs more toward "Serious Smart-A**". JMO.;0)

It was a good night for Letterman announcer Alan
Kalter.First he made a funny guest star turn on Ed.On the Late
Show poor Alan was hilarious mourning the loss of Zena
Warrior Princess.Does anyone know if Dave plans on making
an Ed cameo.

Craiggers was funny, but he seemed to be trying too hard. Those jokes would
have been better on his own show.<br><br><a

Alan was hysterical as the principal on "Ed." His
performance was both as lively as in his "TLSWDL" skits, yet
adequately subdued to avoid being "clownish." I think Alan
has the potential to be more than an announcer, and
if he decides to follow it, it will be difficult to
replace him. The late Bill Wendel was a good announcer,
and they did some good bits with him, but Alan is far
more versatile.<br><br>Dave on "Ed"? That's a tough
one. He seems increasingly more reluctant to make
appearances. In the early days, he would appear wherever they
would pay him. But in the past few years he does very
few. (As opposed to Leno, who hounds people to get
cameos.) He did a couple for shows like "Larry Sanders,"
"Spin City" and "Seinfeld" but I remember Danny DeVito
talking about how hard it was to get him to do "Man on
the Moon." That entire movie hinged on recreating the
Andy Kaufman/Jerry Lawler showdown on "LNWDL" and Dave
didn't want to do it. And Davie was a big Andy supporter
and likes Danny. Go figure.<br><br>I think it will
come down to how badly Rob and Jon will push him to be
on. Knowing Rob, he won't push Dave that hard - he'll
respect his wishes.<br><br>A real possibility, though, is
to have Dave do voice work. He is usually willing to
do
that.<br><br><a href=http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/edsedfanclub

I thought last night's show seemed sort of
nostalgic of the old show, with Dumb Ads (seems like
forever since they've done that) and Paul Reubens. Also,
if I'm not mistaken, wasn't that Barbara Gaines who
ran out to give Dave the Top Ten list? Maybe not.

I fell asleep just before Paul Rubens came on and
woke up during Craig Kilborn's monologue. Darn!
<br><br>"Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" was an exellent movies, the first
film by the guy who did Edward Scissorhands, the first
Batman movie and Nightmare Before Christmas. I love at
the end when they make a movie of Pee-Wee's adventure
and James Brolin plays Pee-Wee. <br><br>Paul Rubens
was also very good on a couple of Murphy Brown
episodes.

Golf? GOLF?! Is there one single David Letterman
fan on the face of the Earth who would rather watch
golf highlights than the Late Show? I cannot imagine
such a thing. What were they thinking? I'd rather
watch a test pattern than golf highlights.

I agree. Why don't they play the golf highlights
after Letterman. Or even after Craig Kilborn. The only
people probably tuning in to the golf highlights are the
people who thought Letterman would be on.

No, but I would have prefered on Saturday and
Sunday to watch the actaul Masters coverage rather than
"A History of Socks Worn by Jack Nicklaus" or
whatever it was. Noone but died-in-the-wool Masters fans
would sit through that waiting for the actual Masters
coverage.<br><br>CBS is run by monkeys.

Plus, USA network was showing Masters live and
taped, EXPN had highlights. Why does CBS think people
will tune in at 11:35 Eastern to watch Golf highlights
that are 6 hours old and have already been shown 3 or
4 times. Then CBS won't show any live coverage of
it. Them boys is loopy.

I didn't see too many ugly chicks in the strings sections. Doesn't remind me of
the school orchestra at all.
