Don't ever mistake Blake Lively for another famous Hollywood blonde.
"I once heard someone say that I'm similar to Paris Hilton - since I
have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean we're alike," Lively tells
Seventeen in the August issue, out July 8. "It's a dumb thing to say. I
dont think that makes Paris and me similar ... I don't go to clubs, I
don't party, I don't dance on tables, and I don't like sex tapes."
Unlike the troubled socialite she plays on Gossip Girl, 20-year-old
Lively's real-life relationship with 21-year-old costar Penn Badgley is
remarkably scandal free.
"Penn does these silly dance moves, and he's very witty and quick, so
it's fun to have sharp banter with him," she tells the magazine.
"When you're saying these words that people are making you say to one
another, nothing about it is real or genuine," she adds, when asked
about how actors fall for each other. "So if two people connect outside
their characters, then that's how they get together."
But Lively does fess up to one thing she has in common with character
Serena van der Woodsen - she's passionate.
"When I care about somebody, whether it's my best friend or somebody
who I would date, I give them all of my heart," the youngest of five
children says. "I've just been so loved, and I'm used to really loving
people and trusting them."
