Hi. I just got around to joining this group, which Tom Palmer
mentioned in his email newsletters. I've been watching Burke's
shows, at least intermittantly, since The Day The Universe Changed
was
on PBS all those years ago. I have most of his books, a few books on
tape, all the C2 and C3 episodes, and *some* episodes from the other
three series. I suppose there's no chance that Science Channel will
ever air the early stuff, as TLC did some years back. That's a
shame,
because I can't begin to afford to buy this stuff commerically.
Oh, and I'm the one who wrote that stuff about Doublas Adams, fiction
and the Bacon game that Tom was kind enough to reprint in his
e-newsletter.
Enough introduction. Here's my somewhat off-the-wall question:
The same year that The Day the Universe Changed was on PBS (this may
have been a second or third airing), host David Suzuki (?) had an
almost equally entertaining series in the same time slot. Trouble
is, after all these years I don't remember anything about the show
except the host's name and the fact that I liked it. Does anyone
remember what it was?
Regards,
