I'm about 80 pages into it, reading a little bit at a time as I can -
been busy.
I like it, but it is very 'light'. It is more entertaining than
educational. I enjoy the humor and comments, but it really isn't what
I expected. I guess I was expecting more connections about the
founding fathers and more about their lives, but really they're just a
jumping off point for the threads from then until modern times.
A lot of the connections are pretty tenuous - just a brush pass in
history. Which is something I felt later works have suffered from -
compare Connections^3 to the original Connections and you'll see many
of the links are weaker.
But, still, it is a fun book to read and I'm quite enjoying it. It
just isn't as meaty as some of his other books.
