In the final season (Season 4), in the episode where
Grandma & Grandpa Renfrew come to visit, Jackie Coogan
plays the part of Grandpa instead of Ray Bolger.
Does anyone know why Ray Bolger didn't reprise the role that
he had played in the previous three seasons?
Of course the very talented character actress, Rosemary DeCamp played
Grandma each Season.
Anyone remember that she had played Marlo Thomas's Mother on
"That Girl"? She played many "Mother" roles in the movies throughout
her career.
Anyway, just wondered if anyone knew why Ray Bolger didn't play Grandpa
in the final Season of "The Partridge Family".

Okay, now I know. I see it was on "Bulletin Board," which I have the record
album (can't find it right now, but I have it). I guess it never was
released to CD. :o)

I admit that surprises me, I was sure it was, but I can't find it in my
collection. I have one CD I haven't found yet called "Partridge Family
Favorites," but I don't know that it is on there. I just remember hearing it
more often than I have ever watched the show.
Good luck!
Chuck
Well, Chuck, you're right! "I Would Have Loved You Anyway" is on
Sound Magazine, and also available at Amazon.com as a download. But I
went to www.cmongethappy.com and searched through each album and
didn't see it on any of them. Oh, well, I'm glad to finally get it.
Now if only "I'll Never Get Over You" was on CD (I KNOW it's not),
then I would be okay. --Allen

Allen,
You don't have Sound Magazine? It is number 8 on the list!
It is another great album with some of my favorites, "Brown Eyes," "Echo
Valley 2-6829" the ever popular "Twenty-Four Hours a Day," and who could
forget, "I Woke Up In Love This Morning!"
I love the song "Rainmaker" from that album! I guess I must really like
songs about rain! And of course Notebook has the great song, "Walking in the
Rain!"
Cherish!

No, I never listened that closely to that song. :o)
My favorites are on the early records. You mentioned "I Think I Love You,"
and I too really like that one, also from that album I really like "Point Me
in the Direction of Albuquerque," and "Somebody Wants to Love You." I also
like "I can hear your heart beat," and one of my all time favorite Partridge
Family songs is also off the first album, "Only a Moment Ago."
Up-To-Date also has some of best there are too. Rather than list the whole
Song list, it would be quicker to say that I don't care for "Lay it on the
Line" (my apologizes to David, for I know he wrote that song, but I really
don't care for it, sorry!), and I don't care for "There's No Doubt in My
Mind" either. The rest I like, and I really like some of them. I find myself
singing "She'd Rather Have the Rain" when I least expect it!
Anyway, I think it is really great music! David was lucky to have some of
the best song writers of the day writing for him, but he certainly sang them
like no one else could at the time! So "I'll Meet You Halfway" some time
when "You Are Always On My Mind." :o)
"Cherish!"

I can't believe "I Would Have Loved You Anyway" was never released on
any album, or am I wrong about this? I think it rivals "I Think I Love
You" as one of the best PF songs ever. Okay, is it possible to rip the
song from my Season 2 DVD to my Windows Media Player, or not? I would
prefer to download it from a music website but obviously it isn't
available, unless someone knows otherwise. --Allen
Yes, there are songs I don't care for either. Ya know, I just found
out something I didn't know about the song, "Hello, Hello" (one of my
favorites). I always thought he was singing "so we can watch the CARS
go by", but while watching my Season 2 DVD and reading the caption,
it reads "watch the HOURS go by". Did anyone else think this? --

I actually like most of the Partridge Family music, there are only a few I
don't care for. :o) I have most of the CDs, but I don't listen to them much,
don't have the time!
I really enjoy the show, set in a time much simpler than today.
