No, I never listened that closely to that song. :o)
My favorites are on the early records. You mentioned "I Think I Love You,"
and I too really like that one, also from that album I really like "Point Me
in the Direction of Albuquerque," and "Somebody Wants to Love You." I also
like "I can hear your heart beat," and one of my all time favorite Partridge
Family songs is also off the first album, "Only a Moment Ago."
Up-To-Date also has some of best there are too. Rather than list the whole
Song list, it would be quicker to say that I don't care for "Lay it on the
Line" (my apologizes to David, for I know he wrote that song, but I really
don't care for it, sorry!), and I don't care for "There's No Doubt in My
Mind" either. The rest I like, and I really like some of them. I find myself
singing "She'd Rather Have the Rain" when I least expect it!
Anyway, I think it is really great music! David was lucky to have some of
the best song writers of the day writing for him, but he certainly sang them
like no one else could at the time! So "I'll Meet You Halfway" some time
when "You Are Always On My Mind." :o)
"Cherish!"
