Hi cabville,

Great news! Personally I think electronic (bit torrent) distribution
of (winrar) compressed VIDEO_TS folders is the way to go. We could
start with just the last 4 high quality episodes. If you have an ftp
server I could download the MPEG-2 sources and make them into a bit
torrent of xvid files. Or you could bit torrent the VIDEO_TS folders
yourself if you fancy that, preferably as 4 separate .rar files so
that people can select only the episodes they need and don't have to
download everything in one go.

Either way, in the long term it's faster than you burning and posting
15 DVDs each time. Let me know what you think,

regards,
Pete

If anybody would like a copy of the set, I will make one for you at
cost. It's a 15 discs set plus shipping is about $20. I can also
arrange some sort of electronic distribution for free, but these are
4GB files per episode. Multiplied by 15 episode that's about 60GB
total. So I'm not sure if electronic file transfer is feasible at
this time since my upload is only 128k.

One word of caution, I tried this last year and it turned out to be
much more difficult and time-consuming than I originally envisioned.
I did manage to send out three sets, but it took me six months to do
it. Of course, I was making the DVD sets from scratch at that point
whereas now I just have to copy an existing set. Still, it could be
up to a month turnaround time. Just so you know in advance.

For everyone asking about the DVD, with the right torrent software you
can download the whole season from the link above, albeit at a low
quality.

Can anyone tell me if these DVDs that are going round have better
quality than the AVI's in the torrent? Chance?

Also do they include the unedited pilot episodes?

Hi,

I've been patiently waiting for Combat Missions to come out on DVD,
but so far..... nothing. So i'm really excited to have come across
this site. I know I'm new here, but I would really like to get a
copy of the series, too.

Hi guys,

Just arrived after finally finishing the last few Evolution's! :-)

I first caught a few of these episodes a few years back and for some
reason remembered it last week and thought I'd see if I could get hold
of them. Luckily there was still a bit torrent being seeded. The
quality isn't great, but if you have a Torrent client then you can
start downloading it from
http://ts.searching.com/download.asp?id=217377, I'm seeding it 24/7 as
we speak.

Can anyone tell me if these DVDs that are going round have better
quality than the AVI's in the torrent?

Max out or black out!

FYI, there's a very interesting article on Blackwater & the incident
involving Scott Helvenston in the current issue of GQ Magazine
(Februrary 2006 - it has a close-up of Heath Ledger on the front).

It was a very sad day for myself when I heard that Scott was killed
and it still does not even seem real to me :(
I caught the CBS News report when they did a report on Scott and his
family and the tragedy.
God knows that he would have put up one heck of a fight if given the
chance.

Hey all,
I was flipping through the channels last night and came across
PBS Frontline on private security in Iraq, the episode was
called "Private Warriors". I had a feeling they would talk about
Blackwater and sure enough, they did. They talked about Scott
Helvensten and what happened in Falluja. They focused on him and his
background. His Navy Seals experience, fitness tapes, did not hear or
might have missed anything on Combat Missions, but they did say he was
in Hollywood. It almost killed me seeing the video that was taken that
day, knowing that might have been Scott. It was very graphic so viewer
beware. It made me feel a bit better when they showed the US Marines
invade Falluja four days later in retaliation. They completly leveled
that city back to the stone age as payback. Anyways, they are going to
repeat the show. Anyone interested might want to check out
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/ for the next show date.

Just an update. DVDs were sent out today to:

Eric K
Jeff T
Radian H
Greg F
Andrew V

Easiest thing to do, when you recieved them, and are happy with them,
is to mail back some cash in a disguised envelope. Whatever you think
is fair.

I'll be doing another batch for anyone else who has sent me their
mailing address within the next few days.

Hey Guys,

I've gotten 4 address so far, which I've manage to pack up three so
far and will do the other one tomorrow.

If you want a copy, send me your mailing address. The best address
is chance@...

I bought some padded mailers and I'll be sending out the first batch
of DVDs during my lunch break on Monday. Not sure how much I've
spent on things, so, when you recieve your package, just mail me
what you think is fair. Having paid $25 for two VHS tapes a few
years ago from someone on the net, I'm not looking to make bank on
these (and no, these copies are not from those tapes, which I loaned
out and never got back).

Heck, the only thing I'm looking for in return is if anyone knows
where I can get episodes of "Beauty and the Beast" for my wife I'd
appreciate it. I'm just doing this so others can enjoy the series as
much as I have. I just wish there could be a second season...

Chance,

I would like a copy of the episodes as well. How should we make payment to
you?

   Thanks,

   Sam

send me whatever you think is fair.

I think Bravo Memeber Steve Clagget of Texas is on a new show on
Court Tv Called Texas S.W.A.T.

It's good to see the former members and contestants of Combat Missions
on new shows and to see how they are doing today.

Hope to catch eps of this show and see if it really is
Steve "Spartacus" Clagget :)
