Of course, everyone knows that most of his shows from '60s and '70s were run on
a crawl screen, but what we didn't know was that in 1978, the credits were
chyroned on shows like The Gong Show (from shows taped at the Chuck Barris
stages starting in 1978), 3's a Crowd, The Newlywed Game '77 and New Newlywed
Game '85, Dating Game '78 and All-New Dating Game, The $1.98 Beauty Show (1st
season at NBC Studios, Burbank, 2nd season at Chuck Barris Stages), Camouflage,
Treasure Hunt '81 (The Burbank Studios taping), and The Gong Show '88. What we
didn't notice was that when Bob Eubanks hosted Newlywed Game '97, one of Chuck's
producers, Walt Case, worked once more on that version as a Supervising
Producer.
Jason
And in the final season of "Amen," the Stiles/Iles Production logo (on a still
blue background in a white font-lettering) preceeds before the Carson logo as
well.

By the way, some episodes from the 1st year had a few bars of the theme's lyrics
sung just as the audience applause continued, and the remainder of the theme was
instrumental. The theme was always instrumental for the remainder of the
seasons.

Also w/ Amen, the font for the closing credits in the final season (1990-91)
would be in a white color and in the 2nd half of the final season, they added a
sax to the closing theme and a re-recorded version of the closing theme was used
as well.
Also, in S3 & S4, the font was less bold than in S1 & S2.
And in S1, the copyright year appeared in the middle of the closing credits as
opposed to the last 6 or 7 seconds of the closing credits.

Amen starring Sherman Hemsley also used the Family Ties style credits for all

This is actually from the only season when it originally aired on NBC. Unlike
USA, whose choice was to film it in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, NBC shot it at the
exact same place where the original was, Universal City Studios, Universal City,
CA. USA's version used the Law & Order fade and flash style credits, but this
one used the straight flash, like on most Universal TV series of the '70s and
'80s, like "Kojak" and "The Rockford Files." Luckily, both versions used a
rerecording of the "Funeral March For a Marionnette" theme to keep the nostalgic
viewers interested.

On "Slueth" reruns, I also noticed most eps. from Fall 1987
until '89, used the 1982 Universal jingle. Other times, I noticed
when most eps. during that period used part of the opening theme tune
as the closing theme, they used the 1987 Universal jingle.

Wait a second. I heard the 1982 Universal jingle. Usually, most
shows from 1987-1991 used Universal '87. Must have been a glitch in
the system when they were broadcasting it.

File : /Video Recons and Spoofs/73MaryTylerMoore_VOfDoom_Pinball.wmv
Uploaded by : cmpb301 <cmpb301@...>
Description : 1973-74 season end to The Mary Tyler Moore Show 10-27-1973.
This is how it could have been if the show had been syndicated in 1976 instead
of 1977. Instead of the filmed V Of Doom logo I used the version with the
Pinball logo music. Logo taken from a Gunsmoke.I found. (Mary Tyler Moore
end from DVD).

Does anyone have any 1980s closing credits to "The Young & the Restless" available for upload?
My want list:
Mid-1982 ending (with the 1976 Columbia Pictures TV "Sunburst" logo at the end)
1982-83 ending (this was the closing theme used on an imaginary Y&R episode in the 1983 Michael Keaton movie "Mr. Mom") - the closing music has a slightly higher pitch (I don't believe this was correct on the standard version, seeing as Mr. Mom, after all, is a movie)
1985-86 ending (the first season to carry the Columbia Pictures TV 1982 "Torch Lady" logo)
1986-87 ending (same 1982 CPT logo but with smaller text for the Coca-Cola byline)

Uploaded by : cmpb301 <cmpb301@...>
Description : Closing credits to a first season episode of All In The Family
were Archie and Edith sing the Those Were The Days song which near the end the
more familiar theme begins. I replaced a Sony logo with the fast version of the
video taped Viacom V of Doom logo, Viacom syndicated the series starting in the
fall of 1979. Logo slightly cut short.

I don't know how that got here, but I didn't put it up. It must have
been automatically put up by Yahoo! when my father sent me that card.
Again, however, I did not post this.
